Just got on the waiting list for a VGC purchase. Guide is guessing the wait will be 5-6 months for my add on. I think he said closing costs were only $27.00. PPP $130.00
Just an FYI.
Sure wish I could have afforded this add on before resort sold out...

We did two small add ons direct at VGC last year. First time we waited about 4 months; second time was only 1 month.

I think DVC is pretty aggressive about ROFRing VCG - we had TWO ROFR'd before we decided to just go direct.

You should keep calling your guide to see where you stand on the list for your particular UY. At least, if you are moving up, you feel like there's a happy ending coming.

Good luck to you.

What UY are you on the list for. We are looking to add on at VGC on our next cruise for the onboard credit. We have a feb UY.

I have March...I was thinking of waiting until our cruise in August but didn't want to wait that long and then be put on a waiting list for another long bit of time.. How much OBC do you get for buying on a cruise? Plus..then wouldn't my normal guide miss out on the commission?

I have read that the stateroom credit has been anywhere from $300 to $400 dollars. I'm not sure how it works for resorts that they are not actively trying to push though, especially with a waiting list. We are not in a hurry for the points. We just closed yesterday on our first contract through resale, so we do not have a guide that we are loyal to, I have heard that one will be assigned to us.
