We are debating moving our trip to cover a plan school day closure on 11/10. How bad would the crowds be around Veterans day? If you had to plan a trip near Friday 11/10, what days would you pick? Park days Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sun? Park days Fri/Sat/Mon/Tues?

Weve been to WDW a ton, but for some reason I have a hard time following the Disneyland crowds.

The crowds around then will be busy but not packed. Veteran's day will be crowded. All the holiday decorations will be up.

Since Holiday time will start on 11/10 ..I suggest starting on Sunday 12th. Avoid the first day, 11/10!

Veteran’s Day last year was brutal because it coincided with the first day of the holidays in the parks. Whatever days you go, pack your patience. It’s very likely it will be pretty crowded since it will be a three-day weekend with Veteran’s Day being on a Friday this year. Personally, I would not go again on the first day of anything so if they announce the first day of the holidays as one of those days, I’d skip that day.

It’s highly likely that DLR will kick off the holiday season on Friday 11/10.

Plus it’s Dapper Day weekend as well.

I went Veteran’s Day this last year (also start of the holidays) and it was absolutely brutal. Our rope drop morning in DCA was a bust as well because so many rides were down at park opening (and remained down). I wouldn’t choose to go on Veteran’s Day again in the future.

I was there during that time but in 2021 and it's a busy time because it's always the kick off to the holiday times at the resort. If I remember correctly all magic key holders with the exception of the inspire key are blocked out on the 10th and 11th, so Disney is anticipating it to be busy. This year Disney put more block out days for key holders depending on which level you have, so you might see it busier during the week than it normally would be and has been in previous years.

Thanks everyone! We will try and stick with earlier in the week and avoid that weekend!
If you go earlier, no its a small world holiday - opens on first of Holiday time..if you go after like starting on the 12th, you will have all the holiday stuff and less crowds than the first day/weekend - Veteran's Day.
