Veterans Day 2015?

If I am looking at everything right for November 2015 looks like Jersey week will be around Nov 1-9th then Veterans day is on a Wed the 11th. Do you think Veterans day will impact crowds? I could see if it was on a Monday or Friday but I am think since Jersey week will be over and the holiday is on a Wed in the middle of the week it probably will still be a good week to visit what do you all think?

I think it will be fine. Veterans Day drives up crowds a bit, as would any holiday. Folks may take the week off because you can pull the kids out of school and they will only miss 4 days. Still won't be horribly crowded I don't think. The first few weeks of Nov are my favorite time to go.

Thanks Anniemae! We decided to forgo the Sept. trip and stick with November but we normally go the week before Thanksgiving but thought a week early might make the holiday season a little less hectic for us.

I'm in NJ and my kids have school on Veteran's Day. Last year we left on Veteran's Day (because H&I had off) this year we are going home on Sunday 11/8.

Were planning a trip that week as well. I'm hoping schools and businesses will have Monday and/or Tuesday off as an observance.

I'm in NJ and during Jersey Week we have off that Tuesday (Election Day) and the usual Thursday and Friday.

We have school on Veteran's Day but I know some schools that close that Monday in observance of Veteran's Day.

NJ teachers convention would probably be either 5-6 or 12-13. It is a two day convention and many schools only have these 2 days off. Which week is not on the calendar yet for Nov 2015

We have been a few times during Veteran's day and Love it. One year it was a bit more crowded when it was closer to jersey week, but not that bad. We are hoping to go that same week this year too!

We were there last year that same week and the crowds were very manageable so we booked again for this year. 11/7-11/15.

Won't happen. It's not a Monday or flexible observance. Veterans Day, and will be for the foreseeable future, November 11.

I'm planning my family trip in 2016, Nov 12 to 19, Veterans day falls on the Friday, will this drastically impact the crowds for my trip? Thanks
