Very worried....should I call?

I would call back and try to speak to someone higher up. All you can do is hope for some of that magical pixie dust. Since she booked during the time that free dining was offered for a trip during the time that it is available, I don't think that it would be unheard of for them to give it to her. It would be different if she had not made a reseervation and wanted free dining after it ended. Be extra nice when you call and hope that you get something extra nice in return. Maybe even be ready to cancel the reservation when you are talking to the manager. I don't know how much leyway they have in offering incentives to people ready to cancel.

The thing is, we don't actually know that there were any free dining rooms available when she booked. Yes, the OP booked during the time that the free dining promotion was on, but there are a limited number of reservations allowed for each promotion. It is entirely possible (especially since it was the last day of the offer) that there were no free dining reservations available for her resort/dates of trip. If so, they cannot offer it to her (belated or not).
