Very upset with Walmart.com

I'm very thankful for the holiday sales I was able to take advantage of on their website. I was able to get the camera, the Leappad....and then....the Gameboy advance was sold out!!! It was in stock when I put it in my cart, then I shopped around a bit online, and when I go to checkout, it had been sold out. These items were only supposed to be on sale for 5 hours tommorrow, but they are already on. As per Walmart, if the site says it's in stock, then it is in stock. So, it must have sold out as I was shopping. This wouldn't bother me as much of the sale had read "quantities limited" or if the sale wasn't supposed to start tommorrow. Now I'm wondering if I should rush to the store tommorrow for the gameboy, or forget it, since I got everything else I wanted....I already have gameboy color & hardly ever play it. Are these games so much better, or should I pass?

Unless you are willing to get there 2 or more hours before store opening and RUN to the electronics department I would forget it. I got there 15 mins after opening last year and they were sold out.

I'd check on-line again. Why not, it's worth a shot that they restocked it?

As far as venturing out on BF, I agree with previous poster that you may have to get there pretty early . . . and then deal with some unruly behavior. Some people love it, others don't.

I had the same thing happen to me with a Fisher Price toy. It was in my check out cart (another site) and after a bit of shopping it was sold out! It was in my cart. The only way I knew it had sold out was I had a pop up during checkout. As PHWE stated, I am going back periodically to see if they restock. Man, was that a disappointment!

Everything is about limited quantities. They don't have an endless supply. They shouldn't have to tell you that. It's like going to buy milk at the grocery store, they can sell out.

That may be true however the main point is they put it online at the sale price before the "sale" really started and sold out before the "sale" really started.

The game boys are showing in stock on Walmart.com now, I know it doesn't help you much now but maybe someone else needs them.

I headed out to Walmart yesterday morning to get one of these and by the time I got there it was sold out. Went to several stores and they were sold out also!! This worked out great. I needed the older model because dh bought the accessory stuff for it this summer and we have had it hidden since then. Thank you .
