My older brother is in the Army Reserves here in Toronto and sent me this email.

I just had to share with everyone because it is just so very touching.

"How do you make a little boy feel really special?

This was a last year in Belgium.

The Canadians were returning from a multi-national parade, when the parade commander noticed the little Belgian boy waiting to pay tribute to the Canadian Soldiers.

Doing an "Eyes Right" is a compliment reserved for dignitaries and other high ranking officials."

How neat - I've served with Canadian Forces in various and sundry places - a fine bunch

OMG how sweet!

Get the tissues....

(btw, I LOVE the little boy's uniform!)

Great video, and a great tribute to the boy.:)

I like your Canadian Forces recruting ads that air on TSN and CBC.

i totally agree with the tissue thing - i was sitting at work and the tears just started flowing down my face. he should have warned me how tearful it would be.

i've actually seen a lot of tearful moments caught on tape. the Dutch love Canadian's as we were the ones to free them during ww2 and their children are taken to the Canadian cemetery and lay flowers and plant tulips every year (must have a gazillion tulips by now) but it's all in memory of those Canadians who gave their lives to free their country.

i ball my eyes out when i see these things.

I thought I posted to this thread earlier, but this is just precious!! Thank you so much for sharing. That probably made that little boy's day.

What an adorable child.

How heartwarming  ! What a little trooper he is! Godspeed all military and their families. :thumbsup2

Thanks, this was great. I loved how he was doing his "little boy" fidgety stuff in between salutes. What a cutie.
