Hi! We are going the first weekend in May (FRI-SUN).
It will be myself, DH, 4yo DS and now MIL, FIL, and SIL are coming along ...so last night I added another room to my ressie.

We will all be driving up in our van from south Florida, so I want to pack light.

1.What toiletries are in the room? Conditioner???

2.how much is the coffee in the room? Cream? sugar? Do they have decaf?
3.hairdryers? irons?

4. Are towels available at the pools(main and quiet)?

5.Is there a deli section at the food court, like at ASMo??

6. How are the buses??? How long does it take to get to/from AK
specifically. Epcot????

Any other info appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!!

We were at CBR in mid-November. They have the usual toiletries -- shampoo, soap, conditioner. There were no irons or hairdryers in the room but I feel sure you could ask housekeeping for an iron.
The coffee, creamer, sugar, sweetener, etc. all come packed in one packet with enough coffee to make one small pot. We don't use decaf but again I'm sure you could request it. I honestly didn't notice the price, but there is a price sticker on each packet. They had a stack of them on the shelf beside the coffeemaker (enough for at least a week).
I think the brochure they give you lists things about towels and such. They do supply them at the main pool but not at the individual pools. If you ask when checking in, they can tell you for certain.
At the food court there is NOT a deli section. But at the one end of the gift shop (large one, not the "lobby" of the food court building) there is a refrigerated section with milk, juice, crackers, etc. I did not see any deli type items like meat or cheese, but maybe someone else can help you with that answer. There aren't any fridges in the rooms but if you are planning on things like sandwiches, etc., you can inquire about renting one. I've seen different posts about the daily charge for them.
The bus transportation is excellent. Each area has its own bus stop, plus you can get on or off the bus at Old Port Royale and at the Customs House. I didn't think any of the bus rides -- to any park -- was long. We only had to stand a couple times and that was on the way back from the parks at closing.
Have fun!!! We really enjoy CBR and stay there regularly. Sorry I couldn't answer all your ?? in detail.

Hi susy!

I'll try to answer some of your questions! :)

1. They give you bath soap, facial soap, and shampoo/condition in one. The bath and facial soaps look alike, you have to read the box to see which is which. Generally they leave the bath soap in on the edge of the tub along with the shampoo/conditioner, and they leave the facial soap out near the sinks.

2. I believe the coffee packets are around $2. each. We didn't use the packets, but like Sandy said, they are individually tagged with a price on them.

3. When you get to your room, call housekeeping for the iron and blow dryer. They will bring them to your room, there is no charge for either of these items.

4. There are little "huts" that contain piles of fresh, folded towels at the main pool. When you go to a quiet pool, bring your own :) Also, you can call housekeeping and request extra towels, so you'll have them when you need them.

5. I didn't notice an actual deli at CBR, either. We usually eat our meals in the parks, other resorts, or food court. I really should give CBR a call and find out, and add this info to my CBR web site! LOL

6. The buses at CBR are GREAT! In two visits, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes, except for once, and that was 15 minutes. Epcot is very close to CBR. The ride over to AK isn't that bad either....maybe 15 minutes. This is once the bus leaves CBR property.

Regarding housekeeping, when I check into a room I immediately called housekeeping and ask for extra pillows, extra towels, blankets, iron, and blow dryer. That way these items are in my room before I actually need them. :)

Thanks for the replies.
seaspray,
do you know the name or location of the gift shop that has the frig with juice and milk? At ASMo I would go to the food court when they opened at 6:30 to get juice, etc. I was hoping to do the same on this trip , if need be.
Also, what time in the morning do the gfit shops/food court open??? I am a very early riser. I am trying to pack light . As of last night MIL, FIL , and SIL are joining us!!! I have two rooms booked now~!

Hi, SeaSpray!
I think you've become the CRB expert here! Could you tell me about how long it took by WDW bus to get to MK from the CRB?
Thanks!
Karla B.

susy: the name of the shop that sells milk and other items like that is called the Calypso Trading Post. It's located inside Old Port Royale, next to the other gift shop Calypso Straw Market. They sold a variety of items such as Tylenol, band-aids, antacids, sun lotion, etc. I wish I had taken a closer look at what other food items they sold. LOL I know that the food court opens at 6am and closes at midnight. I'm not sure about the shops, though.

ptrbryant: Magic Kingdom is the park that is the farthest from CBR and I believe that took about 20 minutes, once the bus left CBR property. I have to say, none of the bus rides seemed very long at all, I said 20 minutes because I don't want to underestimate the times. Maybe someone else has clocked it, and can give an exact answer, but I think the 20-minute range is probably close :)

There are all kinds of food at the different food court - Montego's Deli is not a deli like you would go to a store and but cold cuts, etc. They sell sandwiches and so on but not the makings for sandwiches as far as I know.
All the different "stores" at the food court sell mostly the same things for breakfast, but then they sell different items the rest of the day. It's kind of misleading if you look at the precise names. When you walk into the food court, the different ones are lined up along one side. Each one has menus posted. Most of them have the same drinks (unless there is a specialty drink) but the rest is different.
The cooler at the Calypso Trading Post has individual bottles of juice, etc. and you can get individual juices at some of the food court stores too. You can also get individual cereal, but I don't think they sell milk, juice, or cereal in family-size containers.
Those are good questions you ask and I probably should have paid more attention, but except for snacks and coffee, we didn't eat in our rooms.

My husband and I had our evening snacks (well his snacks are actually meals) every night at CBR last summer, so we tried every place in the food court.
My favorite of them was Bridgetown Broiler, I ordered a rib/chicken combo that came with mashed potatoes and other sides for about 9 dollars and it was very good and filling.(beef ribs) The Pizza place had "fair" pizza, but the pasta was good and they gave you alot. As for Montego's, it was ok, nothing that spectacular, my dh is big into deli and was disappointed in their selections. I'd go elsewhere for a main meal, but the food court is good for lunch or a late snack.
