Ok, if you book a room only reservation and get park hoppers, are they paper or plastic? DH wants to get a package as you only have to worry about 1 card for room key, charging and admission. Yes, very easy but I might like to save a couple bucks. If the hoppers are plastic ( like the UPH) I might be able to convince him. If the hoppers are paper passes, I know he'd refuse so I figure I'd better ask first. Thanks.

All of the park hoppers are plastic-- if you order them earlier, you will get a plastic card to bring with you (so you will have two cards, one for the parks and one for your rooms)

It's cheaper to buy them advance, but if you wait until you get to your resort, I believe that if you buy them there, they can put the park hoppers on your room key card (I'm not positive on this, though!)

I don't think they make paper passes anymore!

Lasted I checked room keys/ passees were all plastic cards. HAven't been to wdw since '03 but that's what we used then.

Have a great trip!:D

Ultimate Park Hoppers will ALWAYS be on your room key.

Annual Passes will ALWAYS be the mylar/card stock. (You may get a voucher made out of a firm plastic, but you'll exchange that for the actual pass)

For all other tickets: If you order them in advance, whether or not you have them shipped or you pick them up at will-call, you will get the mylar/card stock. If you purchase them at check-in, they can be encoded onto your room key.

Don't be scared off my the term cardboard or card stock. Those tickets (while obviously not as durable as hard plastic) are darn durable. The next time you use one up, go ahead and try to tear it in half. It's pretty close to impossible.

Also, if you get the card stock, just be sure to copy the back of your passes. If there is a problem, and your tickets are in any way lost or damaged (to the point that the serial numbers can't be read), they can easily help you out and replace them.

Thanks! It would be nice if you purchased hoppers at TDS or wherever and they gave you a receipt so when you checked in they could put your hoppers on your room key. Maybe they'll start this before we go in '06? Just a silly hope I have. anyway, thanks again.

The Disney Store sells plastic ones. If you buy at the park they are paper.

The paper ones are very durable!!!! Just do as others have suggested and make copies of them in the event of loss.

I had actually just checked into this. I was told that the ONLY park passes that will be encoded on your kttw card are ultimate park hoppers.

We wanted just the park hopper plus and had to buy tickets seperately. We just got them and they are hard plastic.

We ordered our 4day PHs online at the Disney site in May and they were plastic, like a credit card, with a character on one side.

The ones ate the DS are plastic...Last year we got them at the park and they were paper.....I recommend buying them at the DS..:)

Does anyone know if you can request them to put the AP on a plastic one? I got mine all wet last year from splash mountain and nearly ruined it. I would prefer the plastic ones. ::yes::
