My husbands company is having a sales confrence at Disney on February 1-3. I decided to come meet him in Orlando with the kids and he will extend his stay through the weekend. The kids and I are going to Leave(MD) Friday and return Sunday Morning. What should we see in those two days (Friday and Saturday.) My kids are 1 1/2, 3 and 7. We went last year at the same time and went to Magic Kingdom one day and Animal Kingdom one day. We didn't see too much because my husband does not do amusment parks(he golfs) so it was me by myself with two screaming babies who were very frightened of everthing. THis year I think they will like it much better because they are older and can enjoy themselves more. What parks and attractions should I do this year?

I would do Magic Kingdom, for sure. That would keep you entertained all day. I would do maybe 1/2 day at Animal Kingdom (did you like it last time?) and then go eat dinner in Epcot World Showcase and stay for Illuminations. I'm not sure if you can get a 2 day park hopper--that would be something to check. If not, I think I would do 2 days in Magic Kingdom given your kids ages and there will definately be things that they will want to do over again and you won't have to break your neck being sure you get to do it all!!! Enjoy!!! You'll have a blast no matter what you choose!!

MK is a must! I would also actually do MGM also. There are some great things for littler kids there (honey I shrunk the kids play area, voyage of the little mermaid, playhouse disney live & more). Have fun!

Company's that have conferences in the area often offer 2 or 3 day park hoppers to attendees and their familes. If offered, the 3 day would probably be even cheaper than two one day passes if purchased separately.

If you can hop, bring a double stroller for the little ones and have fun. I would go to AK on friday morning and do the safari and the lion king show, meet the characters, maybe the pocahontas show and view the animals on the two trails. then after lunch head to MGM and catch a few shows where the little one can nap too. They would love Playhouse Disney live, Beauty and the Beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and then they can run off energy in the honey i shrunk the audience playground adventure. watch the parade at 5pm and head back to the hotel.

then on Saturday, start the day at the MK. Hit Fantasyland and Toontown, then the jungle Cruise and Tiki Room and have lunch. Then catch the monorail over to Epcot (transfer at the TTC) and visit the Living Seas, Ellens Energy adventure (baby can have a nice nap in this 45 min ride/show- it is dark and air conditioned), and spaceship earth. Then head into the world showcase hitting mexico first. let the kids have a treat from the Norway bakery, and just walk through the pavillions, perhaps stopping at the kidcot stations or to visit the characters in their native countries. Have dinner at a counter service in the World showcase and grab a spot for illuminations about 45 min before 9pm- bring coloring books or a small new toy to entertain.

Because the weather is unpredictable be sure to keep sweatshirts in the stroller.

I think this would be a great visit and I am a mother of 4 girls under age 8 so i know it seems daunting. I will be there at the same times and the crowds should be low at those parks on those days. Good luck and have fun!

We are going the first week in April (same senario-DH has a conference in Orlando). So we have two days to do Disney. We are going to go to MK and MGM (dd loves playhouse disney, little mermaid and Beauty.)

THanks for the advice. I ordered the two day single park tickets for a discout rate for the confrence. I am on to do MK on one day and then Epcot on the other day. My oder son says he wants to go to Epcot because he didn't like AK last year. He is really into learning about different countries and cultures. That day will be geared toward him and the MK day will be geared toward the younger kids.

I'm sure you'll have a great time! Those are the 2 parks I'd probably hit too if I had a 2 day stay. Be sure to get the free masks at the kid stations at Epcot. Your kids can carry the masks to each country and have them stamped like a passport. It might keep your little ones happy to have something special to do at each country.
