Very ridiculous car rental rate

Just went to Avis website & got rate for 12 days next Oct with Costco discount for a mid-size- 703 with tax! Are they kidding? What am I doing wrong? Is it too early for me to be checking rates for Oct 2003?

It maybe that avis is one of the more expensive ones. Try carwiz.com and select all car companys. This will give a comparison of all their rates. I used Payless 2 weeks ago for 12 days for 238 taxes/incl.

Not for all codes...but a lot of them only run until March or so...

Avis tends to run high, often more than double the least expensive rental car places. Definitely shop around!
