We are planning to be at the MK next week and I am expecting it to be very crowded. My father is having a surgical procedure that day and I am concerned that he may receive bad news. I will need to call my mother in the late morning or early afternoon for an update and I am trying to think of a very quiet place where I could go to call her. Any suggestions? Is there even such a place in the MK?

How about first aid? I've found it to be pretty quiet in the one at Disneyland. Maybe the one at the bigger MK is just as quiet?

It's usually quiet in the back corner of Tomorrowland to the far right of the Carousel of Progess enterance. I've made phone calls from back there so I could hear. Also behind the Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square is a quiet area, there usually aren't many people back there.

I've found the area around City Hall to be pretty quiet as well as the area next to Crystal Palace going back toward the rest rooms. Hope the news is better than expected!:grouphug:

The area behind the Christmas shop has a podium for the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. There may be a crowd there. You could try the walkway behind Space Mt. that leads to the Fantasyland train station.

The rose garden area to the lower right of the castle is usually a nice quiet area.

You can sit under the gazebo that used to be the entrance for the swan boats

I agree with that area. Near the stage or storage area. ( but it can be a hot place to stand.)

To me the best is Tom Sawyer's Island. A bonus is that is shady and you can find a bench to sit down on. ( and a little more privacy)

Hope your news is good.

I hope your news is good but, I also agree with Tom Sawyer's Island. It will be quiet, shady and you should be able to find a place to sit.

I second Tom Sayer Island, It's probably the most private and quiet place that you will be able to find in the park

Another vote for Tom Sawyer's Island. I hope everything goes well for you and your family.

The quietest place in all of MK is the path between Space mountain and the new Fantasyland Train Station. There are some benches and shaded areas. If I ever have to take calls that is where I go. The path should be open now that the train station and Barnstormer are now back in operation.

Another is the Rose Garden path that goes down the slope near the castle.

Tommorowland Terrace is normally pretty empty.

I'd agree with Tomorrowland Terrace for sure. I was going to a meet there in December and I was early, so I hung out there reading on my Kindle. Very easy to stay out of theme park "traffic" and noise.

My other choice would have been the walkway along the train route between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland now that it's been reopened. :)

You could also go to guest services and tell them that you need a quiet place to call. They have private rooms where such phone calls can be made.
