Myself- 36 and totally disneyfied
DH- 32 and not far behind
Whn DH woke up from his nap, we spent about an hour in our quiet pool and it was very quiet!!!! I talked him into a walk around the resort. I wanted to show him all that I had seen. We spent a little time in the hot tub and then it was time to get ready for dinner at Ohana's!
We had never been to the Poly. We self-parked. The lot was full, but we didn't have to walk far at all.
When we walked into the lobby and I took a deep breath and expected to smell that strange Poly smell I've been hearing about for over a year now. It wasn't strange at all!! It was a very tropical smell. It smelled like Florida! Just wet foilage.
The Poly is really something. We walked outside to a very breathtaking seen. The Volcano pool and the beach, with Cinderella Castle dead ahead! The GF to the left and the CR to the right. Everything was lit up. Just beautiful!!!!
We went up to Ohana's to check-in. We had about a 20 minute wait, so we got drinks and waited in the Tambu lounge. Lots of Hawaiin music (live) and the sound of the waterfall in the lobby.
We were seated and I had a pefect view of the Castle from my seat! It started turning colors. This was truly magical!!! The food was sooo good, but so filling!
They did dim the lights and pipe in the music when the fireworks started. They also did the hoola hoop contest and coconut races while we were there. When we become a two income family, I can definitely see myself as a Poly girl.
Back at CSR, we were very tired, so we went to bed. Woke up at 5:30 and it was still dark. We wanted to go lay in a hammock, but they were wet. We sat up on a big rock and enjoyed the view.
We decided to get dressed and head over to the Maya Grill for breakfast. What a buffet!!!! This is a really beautiful restaurant. Worth a trip to CSR! We walked over the bridge to the Dig site. The slide doesn't open until 10am , so we spent a good 30 minutes in the hot tub, before packing up and heading home. What a fun trip. We definitely will do this again next year!
