Very Proud

We received a call from DD Sam's Flute teacher yesterday to say she has passed her Grade 4 Flute.

Sam was surprised she had passed, as she had found it hard going last year, what with starting High School, the extra homework that entailed, plus the flute practice, so she is feeling very happy to know she has passed!

Also yesterday, she said goodbye to her retainer, and had a fixed brace fitted, which she will wear for the next 12 months. She was a bit upset before we left for the dentist, but did really well staying still for half an hour and is adapting well to it. She will miss her chewing gum but knows it will all be worth it in the end when she has a smile to be proud of.

One proud Mum at the keyboard today!

Well done, Sam and don't let the brace get you down. My daughter had one several years ago and now she has beautiful straight teeth.

Actually, she's got a quite beautiful voice (well, she's not in t'school choir for nothing ), but at the moment she's undecided between being an Opera Babe (and that really is OUCH on the ear drums, especially since she can really hold a long, high note) or a Rock Chick.

Unfortunately the lovely microphone that comes with applause and cheering that Auntie Jenny bought for her when she was three has suddenly resurrected itself . . . I should have know better really when she asked for some batteries
