Very poor selection April 8-15th

At the very least, I wish that you could order take out from the sit down restaurants. They are seating at a limited capacity so I know the kitchen could handle a bit of take out. They could put a limit on how many an hour and you could order ahead of time, like the quick service. We went last month during a really slow time and it was tough to get into a place if you did not have an ADR. I heard lots of angry people complain about it. LOL
There are several resort restaurants doing take-out via mobile ordering. Ones that come to mind are the Wave, Olivia's, Sanaa, and a few others.

I'm going around the same time and while we had pretty good luck at 60 days we're having a hard time moving anything around. In the EPCOT area, Ale & Compass (Yacht Club) is doing mobile order/takeout via the My Disney Experience app (it also has a walk-up lounge). At the Swan and Dolphin, Il Mulino, Kimono's, and the Cabana poolside restaurant are all doing mobile order/take-out via the Swan and Dolphin app. Big River Grille has recently reopened but it's my understanding it's not showing as available in the Disney app yet - but is on OpenTable (Il Mulino is on OT too - as are most if not all of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants). Martha's Vineyard Lounge (Beach Club; walk-up only) has started to serve the burger and a chicken sandwich from Beaches 'n Cream (but not the full B&C menu) - menu isn't updated on the WDW site. While it's a quick service, the food is fantastic at Primo Piatto (Riviera Resort) and only a skyliner ride away. Keep looking (I find searching for 4 vs. 3 to return more results but I have no scientific proof) and definitely consider the Touring Plans reservation finder as others have suggested. Good luck!!!

Are Kimono's and Cabana poolside also open for full service dining or only take out? We are checking in 5/2 and thinking( hoping) more dining may open by then.

Kimonos is fully open, as are all of the Swan & Dolphin restaurants. They are all on OpenTable for reservations. Only a small percentage gets set aside for the Disney reservation system.

It’s already been said but I’ve had good luck finding reservations when park hours get extended. For example I got a Beaches & Cream ADR by checking multiple times a day. I found one for 8:45p and took it even though in all reality I knew my kids would be asleep by then. About two weeks ago they extended park hours (for this weekend) and I was able to modify my reservation to 12:50p winch is perfect! I saw a ton of stuff open up when they extended hours. There is a thread on here that lets you know when hours might be extended for your stay. I just kept checking twice a day.

Do you know how quickly after park hours are updated they extend restaurant availability?

I was afraid that was going to happen. I always cringe when our window opens for reservations. Even more so this year. UGH!

Has anyone had luck with walk-up availability? I had heard somewhere that Disney was allocating more to that but not sure. I also had zero luck with reservations for an upcoming trip, even for restaurants that nearly always have availability in the past. Not fun!
