Does Disneyland do the Very Merry Mickey Christmas party or anything like it during the Holidays? I have an opportunity to go back in December and just wondering about this. We have done it once before at WDW, but I have usually tried to avoid DL during the Holidays in the past, so wasn't sure if it was an option or not...??

Nope, they don't have Mickey's Christmas Party at DLR. The only separate ticket Christmas event they have is the Candlelight Processional which takes place Dec. 1 and 2.

Although they do not have a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Disneyland, the Christmas season is a great time to go. There is the parade, of course, Dickens carolers, the lighting of the Christmas tree each evening, Santa at Woody's roundup with reindeer there, and activities for kids (of all ages), including cookie decorating. The Haunted Mansion has been transformed to Nightmare Before Christmas, and It's a Small World is also transformed with the song Jingle Bells sung in various languages.

If you have the opportunity to go, then do so. It's really beautiful at this time of year.

The nice thing about DL is that you get all the goodies without the separate ticket. Christmas parade, Christmas fireworks and it snows afterwards. Everynight in December this happens! :woohoo: Just have to check the times. When we went to WDW for Chrsitmas, I remember thinking that it wasn't fair you needed a separte ticket to see all of the extras. We still had fun, but we didn't get to see the holiday parade or fireworks. :sad2:

No way! That would be terrible! I am so glad Disneyland doesn't do it that way.

Thanks DangerMosue, do you know if Santa Claus will be there starting the 16th also? We had AP's when we lived in Florida and now we need to get AP's here in So. California but wanted to wait until the Christmas season starts just so we can get two Christmas's in if we don't re-new after a year. Thanks again.

I remember the fireworks being the first weekend in November. Santa Claus is at Woody's Roundup, and is there by the middle of November, and possibly at the beginning of the month, also.

My guess would be by the 10th this year they should have this (but it's just a guess).

Thanks for all of the replies! Just one more question - when do the decorations/events stop? Will the decorations still be there and be holiday-y if we go the first week in January??

And don't miss getting your photo taken with Santa in DCA. He's wearing a Hawaiian Shirt and has a beach party Very fun.
