HEY HEY HEY!!! Sorry about my brief MIA stint, but I am back and caught up! There was so much I wanted to comment on, but after seeing Cindy's Suite... I am drawing a blank!!! SOOOOOO exciting!!!
The other that sticks out is CJ -
How is that, any news from his mom or are the ties pretty much cut? Feel free to PM if you care to share, but not with the rest of the class. I know how special he was to you and your sister to have in your day-to-day life. I know how hard it is too to have someone ripped from your life (long story short - I fostered a baby for 15 months and the Dept of Child Srvc promised him to me... one day I go in to find out his new social worker and BOOM - "bring him here on Friday with all of his belongings, he's been adopted." I will never forget the exact words in that statement... that was on a Monday afternoon...)
Big hugs to your sister and to you. I will keep CJ in my thoughts for a positive future!
Hey! You're back!
I was actually going to try and search for you to let you know that the Cindy Suite was posted.
Thanks for asking about CJ. My sis just went down for his bro's Communion last Saturday. I didn't go as I need space from CJ's mom (Lisa).
She doesn't mess with me, but she does with my sister. Thankfully, the last call Lori (my sis) got from her yelling about me (because she dares not call me), Lori actually went back at her and told her to deal with me. I'm proud of my sister for that. I keep telling her she is not personally responsible for CJ - his mother is! - and to stop Lisa from walking all over her because of it.
All Lisa had to do was sign those papers and all would have been well. We have a sneaky suspicion it was CJ's paternal grandmother who called the City and pressured them to make an issue out of it. And probably pressured Lisa not to sign them.
Unfortunately, my uncle (Lisa's father) also takes this as an affront and completely refuses to understand or see the entire picture. This is real upsetting to me since I always tried to do whatever I can for my last remaining uncle.
CJ is....okay. He's back in what I call "babysitting" school. I'm not sure whether they teach him anything at all. It's easier for Lisa just to place him anywere, let him come home from school and watch TV until it's time to go to bed.
CJ in one sense is fine with this since he doesn't have to challenge himself and he isn't really bothered. In the other sense, he misses the social life he had and the focus that was on him. The poor kid doesn't know what to think. I worry because he is not equipped with the necessary living skills he needs to be productive and to keep himself out of trouble.
There's not alot we do unless we want to make a series of phone calls to authorities; I'm not sure I want to do that since it'll happen all on it's own methinks. However, I dread the phone call we are sure to get.
I'm sorry about your situation. I totally understand how you feel!!!

I came upon and read your trip report!! It was absolutely amazing! You look like you are having the best time. I have only two solo trips so far and the second was better than the first-I think I am getting more at ease with them. The first one I think I got freaked out and self conscious (especially with dining solo) and let it get the better of me. DH doesn't come with me because of our dogs, work, blah blah blah.
But you look like you know how to enjoy it. Thanks for the report and all of the great photos. It makes me excited to go back and especially around Christmas.
Welcome!!!

Yes, I do have a good time solo. I almost always also have a mix, since my BFF/goddaughter lives there and I have fam in Tampa.
Dining solo can be a little intimidating but the waiters are usually very good and I keep myself busing by writing in the journal or texting (Twitter lately).
The pics and videos are sooooo cool.
Did they sayy what the suite is being used for now?
Thank you!

The Suite isn't being used for anything, other than promotion every once in awhile or specials for TV. And things like D23.

Okay--I want to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite! It is absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing. This is something not many have seen or had the chance to take pictures of.
We all do!

However, it is quite tiny, but luxurious! I think they said they do actually lock you in during the night hours. LOL!
I was so happy when they said pictures and video were allowed. We pretty much got to do anything we wanted in there and ask whatever questions.
Thank you all for sharing in this with me!!!
