Thanks! :goodvibes

I think I spotted a T0-Do List or two over at your PTR. ;)

Wow you are going to be busy! :rotfl: Your plans look great!

I hope so! I still have to refine the plan and get more specific.

I also need to review my menu choices. :thumbsup2

While I try to remain upbeat while in my happy Disney place....

1) My cousin's (more like an aunt to me since she is so much older) husband lost his niece this week. If you saw/read the coverage on the 3 missing college students from North Dakota, she was one of them. :littleangel:

2) My friend Cris, her husband emailed me earlier indicating she is making a final request to be home. I don't know if this will become true as tthe doctor has not approved it for her to leave the hospital. Apparently, she is not of her right mind at this time. :littleangel:

3) My plans for going to Atlantic City to see a concert has changed somewhat as the concert was cancelled. There was a death in the family. :littleangel:

My prayers go out to all the families above as well as the families of Fort Hood. :littleangel::littleangel::littleangel:

Yeah, where have you've been! :lmao:

Thank you very much. :goodvibes

Christmas Carol Train tour pics and vids coming up soon. :thumbsup2

Haha It's been crazy hectic around here. I just love those Christmas Carol pics, that looked like it was a lot of fun :thumbsup2

Good job with your lists :thumbsup2

More prayers :littleangel: and hugs

Thank you all so much! :grouphug:

My cousin's husband is hosting his family this weekend to deal with the grief and sadness. I'm sure they are finding peace with each other.

Rob Thomas cancelled his show in Atlantic City due to a death in the family. As it turns out, it was his dog.
He rescheduled it for December 19th, but I'm not sure if I want to go for the snow/blizzard factor and it is the weekend before Christmas as I will just be returning from vacation.

I don't know what is going on with Cris. I didn't get a call or email, so I guess that is a good thing.

Hello! I lost and have found (again) your thread! I remember reading earlier on and then not subbing! So I had a lot to catch up on. I just wanted to say it seems you have really crafted a fabulous trip! Like the other posters, I want to go with you!!! You are going to have a marvelous time! And 30 days?! Can't get any better than that!

Weekend Update:

Enough though the Rob Thomas concert was cancelled, my friends and I still went to Atlantic City. We ended up seeing "A Christmas Carol" on opening day at the IMAX Theatre at the Tropicana.

Spoiler/Review Alert!!!

The special 3D effects WERE amazing. The coldness of the breaths, the footprints the snow, the falling snow, the hairs/marks of Scrooge's nose, the horses coming at you; it goes on and on. JUST AMAZING.

The story itself was very real, so beware for small children. If you do bring your child, please don't narrate for your child and sit behind me. :headache:

That said, Jim Carry as Scrooge was a little......off. It was kind of watching the Grinch doing Lemony Snicket. He was over exaggerating just about everything & it annoyed me at the beginning. As it went on, you could tell it was Jim Carry doing stupid Jim Carry moves. He was also the 3 Christmas ghosts and over exaggerating Christmas past so much and Christmas present was ok and Christmas Future wasn't really "there". However, there was moments of comedy relief that wer really very funny.

The other casting was spot on. Colin Firth, Gary Oldman were excellent.

[/spoiler alert]

After the movie, we wandered and shopped around the Trop's French Quarter and headed back to Borgata after a visit to Starbucks for my Pumpkin Spice Latte.

At the Borgata, we got some dinner at their Buffet - very good! and it better be at $28 a pop!!! :scared1:. Mary & her mom got some comp tickets for the comedy club there, so we went there for some laughs. The 3 comics were good. We laughed and it was all good.

Before the show this flashes on the big screen:

I also remember to take some pics of the fab Chiluly glass they have at the hotel.

I ended the night by heading over to The Showboat to hang with my friend Diana and her fam a bit. At this point, I realize I need to replace my Magellan GPS as it didn't know where I was. I think we finally got to sleep near to 2am. Her aunt won at the slot machines for $1,150! Whoooo!

The next morning was breakfast at the very cool Mansion Cafe at The Showboat, then a trying wait for the shuttle to the other end of the Boardwalk. We separate at the Tropicana as my friend Diana and her friend wanted to gamble (I hate gambling) and I wanted to head to The French Quarter again since I didn't much of it the day before with Mary.

What I should have done was check whether there was tickets available for the next showing of "Christmas Carol", but I didn't think of that. I spent some time looking around the French Quarter, then got myself a Gingerbread Latte at Starbucks, skipped the Disney Store outside in the outlet area since it was getting late and did the 30 minute walk back to The Showboat to get into my car and get thyself home.

During the trip home, I got a last minute invite to the Real Housewives of NJ tour thing they are on. I got home at 6pm and was back out again at 6:40pm to meet up with my peeps.

Oh my gawd! The audience was full of stalkers. :scared1: And the Housewives are better on TV. Really. It was an embarrasment to NJ. Really. It was. Thank god we were in the cheaper seats.

After the show, we do the Jersey thing and have a bite at a local diner. My friend's dad joins us (we wer with her mom) and I have a good riple decker turkey club. At 11pm-ish at night. Gotta love it!

I get to bed at 1am. Lord, I was sleepy today (Sunday!). I didn't even get out to bed until late and ddn't rake leaves until close to 3pm. Of course, I end Sunday with this post. ;)

Thank you all so much! :grouphug:

I don't know what is going on with Cris. I didn't get a call or email, so I guess that is a good thing.

I got an email on my work email on Friday night, notifying me that Cris was transferred to Hospice. I didn't think to check my work email when I got home Saturday night, so I did not know. I also got an email very late on Sunday night as well, but, again, didn't think to check my work email. I'm just kicking myself now for not checking.

It was so odd, but I was thinking alot about Cris last night and it should have given me a clue. As I was typing the above last night, as I found out this morning, that Cristina passed away at the same time.

I know she is in a better place and she was suffering, but a little piece of me thought she would make it through. Cris was an amazing, wonderful, beautiful person, inside and out. You don't find people like her anymore. She is with Mickey & Minnie in the sky as she loved Disney so much.

I miss you, Cris!!
:littleangel: :littleangel: :littleangel:

I'm so sorry to hear about Cris!

But you're right at least she is at peace now:littleangel:

Hello! Thanks for checking in.

I'm subbed to yours, but I need to catch up. I think you've crafted some great trips yourself. :goodvibes

I'll be back to my jolly self in a few.

Michele, I am so sorry to hear about Cris. She's up there now asking Walt all the questions we want to know the answers to! :littleangel: Here's a  for you to help you through! I am sure you will find something special to do for her while on your trip!

Christmas Carol, Madi loved it! I thought it was great and I didn't mind Jim Carrey being Jim Carrey. The face was very reminiscent of Lemony Snicket though. We saw it in regular-D, thought 3D might freak the kids!

Real Housewives, let me tell you - I love this show! I have watched every season of every location - except New Jersey. I couldn't even let myself watch it, I am sorry, but they just seems so trashy. Nothing against NJ, those girls are just classless!

Glad you had a fun filled, busy weekend!

In an effort to get my mind off of sadness to come, I'd figure to update my T-Do List. I'm at 23 days, so I really need to get a move-on. I will be able to fully solely on this trip when my mini-trip into NYC is complete, after this weekend.

What a lovely thing to say and I'll definitely pass it on to her family.

Christmas Carol, Madi loved it! I thought it was great and I didn't mind Jim Carrey being Jim Carrey. The face was very reminiscent of Lemony Snicket though. We saw it in regular-D, thought 3D might freak the kids!

I saw it on a IMAX 3D screen & some of the children really were freaked out. Other than the family behind me :headache:, no continual freak-outs from the children, other than the first scenes.

I may go and see it again if there is another IMAX screen near me.

Real Housewives, let me tell you - I love this show! I have watched every season of every location - except New Jersey. I couldn't even let myself watch it, I am sorry, but they just seems so trashy. Nothing against NJ, those girls are just classless!

So far, I just watch Atlanta and New Jersey. I watch NJ just to cringe and see where they film. Now, that I saw them live, ugh. It was really bad.

*sigh* However, it is probably a good representation of rich, bored housewives.
