Weekend Update:
Enough though the Rob Thomas concert was cancelled, my friends and I still went to Atlantic City. We ended up seeing "A Christmas Carol" on opening day at the IMAX Theatre at the Tropicana.
Spoiler/Review Alert!!!
The special 3D effects WERE amazing. The coldness of the breaths, the footprints the snow, the falling snow, the hairs/marks of Scrooge's nose, the horses coming at you; it goes on and on. JUST AMAZING.
The story itself was very real, so beware for small children. If you do bring your child, please don't narrate for your child and sit behind me.
That said, Jim Carry as Scrooge was a little......off. It was kind of watching the Grinch doing Lemony Snicket. He was over exaggerating just about everything & it annoyed me at the beginning. As it went on, you could tell it was Jim Carry doing stupid Jim Carry moves. He was also the 3 Christmas ghosts and over exaggerating Christmas past so much and Christmas present was ok and Christmas Future wasn't really "there". However, there was moments of comedy relief that wer really very funny.
The other casting was spot on. Colin Firth, Gary Oldman were excellent.
[/spoiler alert]
After the movie, we wandered and shopped around the Trop's French Quarter and headed back to Borgata after a visit to Starbucks for my Pumpkin Spice Latte.
At the Borgata, we got some dinner at their Buffet - very good! and it better be at $28 a pop!!!

. Mary & her mom got some comp tickets for the comedy club there, so we went there for some laughs. The 3 comics were good. We laughed and it was all good.
Before the show this flashes on the big screen:
I also remember to take some pics of the fab Chiluly glass they have at the hotel.
I ended the night by heading over to The Showboat to hang with my friend Diana and her fam a bit. At this point, I realize I need to replace my Magellan GPS as it didn't know where I was. I think we finally got to sleep near to 2am. Her aunt won at the slot machines for $1,150! Whoooo!
The next morning was breakfast at the very cool Mansion Cafe at The Showboat, then a trying wait for the shuttle to the other end of the Boardwalk. We separate at the Tropicana as my friend Diana and her friend wanted to gamble (I hate gambling) and I wanted to head to The French Quarter again since I didn't much of it the day before with Mary.
What I should have done was check whether there was tickets available for the next showing of "Christmas Carol", but I didn't think of that.

I spent some time looking around the French Quarter, then got myself a Gingerbread Latte at Starbucks, skipped the
Disney Store outside in the outlet area since it was getting late and did the 30 minute walk back to The Showboat to get into my car and get thyself home.
During the trip home, I got a last minute invite to the Real Housewives of NJ tour thing they are on. I got home at 6pm and was back out again at 6:40pm to meet up with my peeps.
Oh my gawd! The audience was full of stalkers.

And the Housewives are better on TV. Really. It was an embarrasment to NJ. Really. It was. Thank god we were in the cheaper seats.
After the show, we do the Jersey thing and have a bite at a local diner. My friend's dad joins us (we wer with her mom) and I have a good riple decker turkey club. At 11pm-ish at night. Gotta love it!
I get to bed at 1am. Lord, I was sleepy today (Sunday!). I didn't even get out to bed until late and ddn't rake leaves until close to 3pm. Of course, I end Sunday with this post.
