Very Merry Christmas Parade Taping?

Does anyone know when they are doing the taping for the Very Merry Christmas Parade? They normally show it on ABC on christmas day. I wanted to go when they do the taping this year.

The first weekend in December is when they tape it. The bulk of the taping is done on Friday and Saturday, Sunday is left available in case they have to re-shoot a segement and/or if they have any unexpected delays. They generally do not allow people to just walk up and be a part of the crowd though, there is a sign up for extras. I am sorry I don't have more info on that, but there are a lot of people on the boards that sign up for it, they could better assist you with that info.

If you are walking through the park that day they usually announce that you are welcome to join the crowds watching the taping.

I have heard the taping will be from 7am until 1230pm on friday morning, but there is a signup for the front sections.

Has anyone heard who the entertainment will be? Does that information usually come out ahead of time?

I just got off the phone with CRO (modifying my ressie) and she told me Regis and Kathy Lee would be there Dec 2 (Sat).

Yes I was wondering do Regis and Kelly tape there show when there as well and it would be nice to know what preformers will be there as it would be exciting to see some of them when we are there

One year, we just walked up and got a curb-side spot to watch the taping. Saw regis and kelly do their opening spot. Be prepared to stand around alot while they tape and retape segments. My son was getting his haircut at the barber shop and i kept popping out to see who was performing, Clay Aiken was singing right there on main street. It's alot of fun, you never know who you'll run in to! One time, while the taping was going on, we rode alot of rides and ran into Kelly's Ripa's husband getting on Pooh with their son (back doored of course).
