Hello!

Never posted on this forum, because I never thought I'd get the chance to go to DLP. But, lo and behold, business has me traveling to London and Milan next week for a total of about three weeks. I have work to do both in London and Milan but the timing is not firm, and I will have free time in between the two business sessions. Just not sure right now when that "in between" time will be.

So here's my dilemma. I know I'm gonna pay through the nose to make this visit to DLP happen and I'm okay with that (hey, it's the Mouse!). I'm planning on a 2 night/3 day visit to the park, staying at one of the park resorts. It appears the easiest way to do that is booking a "classic" package online that includes park tickets. Do these package tickets include FP ability?

My other problem is physically gettting there. I've put several dates in Eurostar online booking system (in late November) from London to DLP and it looks like all trains are already booked. Is that the case? Sorry if I'm naive about the lack of availability of the Chunnel trains this close to travel time. I thought SOMETHING would be available. Didn't realize that booking months in advance would be so necessary. And if I can't take the Eurostar from London, what's the next easiest option in getting there? Plane?!?

Any advice for the knowledgable-WDW-visitor-but-clueless-about-DLP-visitor would be helpful!

Hi CALIFLADY and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

You can put your pass into any FP machine and get a tickets.

I can help with Eurostar but I'm sure someone else can help.
There is the option of flying from London but I think Eurostar straight to the park is better than getting to London airport and then transfering from CDG to DLP :goodvibes

I'm not an expert on Eurostar either but I believe you can go indirectly via Lille. Have you tried that route?

Hi :-)
Regular package tickets can be used as fastpasses three times a day only. If you stay in a suite in some of the mid and top range hotels you get what is called a "VIP Fastpass" which allows unlimited uses.

Regarding the travel there are a number of options. you can fly from Heathrow to Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG) and then catch a train (RER) to DLRP. Or you can get the Eurostar to DLRP via the indirect service with one change of train at Lille. (There is only one direct from London to DLRP service a day which is why they get booked up quickly) OR you can get the Eurostar to PAris and then catch the RER to DLRP. These ways are all a little less quick than the direct Eurostar service but very much feasible options. You could even hire and car and drive there yourself!

Good luck
Amanda

You can put your passport into any fastpass machine. DLP also allows the ability to hold fast passes for different rides at the same time. Once your FP window opens you can then get another FP for the ride, so it can definitely be used more than three times :goodvibes

What dates were you thinking of? Eurostar is showing availability on 24th to 26th (the last weekend in Nov), from 26th to 28th and from 28th to 30th. However, these are not all direct services, most involve a change at Lille, and you're looking at about £80 ish for one person - I presumed you meant alone, as you're on a business trip? :sunny:

Otherwise, I'm sure you could also fly, although Eurostar is the easiest option.

Your package tickets will include fp ability the same as any other tickets would.

Thanks everyone! After I initially posted, I did some searching on Rail Europe and found some options to get there. Took me a while to find the map and discover the not-as-direct route through Lille. It appears there might be some resort deals, too (stay three nights for the price of two, etc).

I'm REALLY getting excited about this whole trip now (that is, the DLP part)! It's been so long since I've seen the real Mouse.

I'm off this afternoon to Moscow for a few days of meetings, then onto London by Wednesday evening.

Again, thanks for all your input. I'm sure this will be a most memorable trip to DLP!
