Now, I am an AP holder so I have already booked the AP rate for my January trip. What is interesting is that the rate quoted here for GC is less than the posted AP rate on the calendar on the AP site....

Also, if I wanted to book the rate outlined above for PP, upgrading to concierge would cost only $385 total for the seven nights we are there. Again, the AP site has PP concierge being $149 per night extra.

Just wanted to give people a head's up that you might want to play around with your dates, hotel, concierge etc. and see what works best for you!

Uh oh, I was planning a stay there (DLH) at the end of this month. What are the dates it is down? Is it on the disney site? I would have been pretty mad if I would have gotten there and it was closed!

That I do not know, I forgot about the Cove Pool as we never use that one!! I will call and check.

All I know is the pool is closed until 1/31.

Wouldn't you know it, I just see this thread and look it up and the booking engine is down for maintenance. So it says to call an 800 number, I did that and they can't access it either and they said they can't even see those online rates till two weeks before arrival????
and she said if the offer says through Feb 7 then it would end Feb 7 and not include Feb 7 which is the night I am booked under AP.
Now to me THROUGH Feb 7 would include Feb 7.
Anyway now I have to wait till the engine is working again to find out anything I guess.
Not that it would be a huge savings over my AP rate but hey every little bit, right? Take what ya can, Give nothing back! "capt. Jack Sparrow"

We the Cove Pool aka the "Quiet, Warm Pool"!

It is much warmer than Neverland Pool and rarely has anyone in it.

You can't beat the charm of the Neverland Pool though!

That's a bummer, the GCH is much closer to the DLH. I was considering booking us in the DLH but much of the pull for us is the Never Land pool, without it I would rather stay elsewhere. I wish these rates were extended, we are going on the 6th, so with it ending on the 7th it doesn't really help. Maybe I'll just book PPH at the $139 rate......

When I told DS the pool was down he was not a happy camper. If we were going to be there for just a couple days it would not be a huge deal but a whole week of being there is another. I do love the GC and didn't want to spend the extra six hundred dollars but in the end I am sure we will be happy with the decision.

Thanks so much for confirming this. I was planning to go on the 31st so maybe it won't be an issue for me, trip is still undecided. I do think that people should know as well...I would have changed my reservation too.

So did anyone find out if these room rates get the gift card or not? Is it something that is given at check in, so we won't know until someone gets back?

I was told no, you have to buy a package, meaning hoppers too. If you read the small print on the website it says room only reservations are excluded. If you did qualify for the gift card you get the card upon check in. If you are told different when you call, please let me know who you talk to. It seems like a lot of people are told different things when they call in.
