Hi everyone!

I wanted to be sure that everyone saw the post from Scoop Sanderson about a fellow pin trader that is struggling in the hospital.

This is our chance to make a difference! Please, if you can, send your wishes and if possible a pin to John along with your prayers that he makes a complete recovery.

Her spirits are high, and I could tell that neither her nor her husband are ready to quit.

I told her to expect a package from me, and nothing else about the upcoming onslaught of pins.

I also told her to give him a message from me:

1) "I didn't appreciate him doing this on my birthday (the day he ate the tuna sandwich and all heck broke loose). I told her I couldn't bear for him not to make it through this and it all have started on my birthday. "He can recover, and then drop dead, but he has to recover first." That made her laugh. I just hope she tells it right, or he'll think I wish he'd drop dead.

2) "I have some great pins for him, but he has to come here and get 'em."

(I sent John the new CTT, the Walt with the Mickeys that came out yesterday, & the 1yr Anniversary Pin Trader Mickey. Fedex Overnight. I wanted mine to get there first.)

I asked about the grandson, too, and he has something like an extra nerve in his heart that makes it beat at over 300 beats per min. He's going to have a risky surgery that will probably force him to have a pacemaker the rest of his life if the surgery is not successful.

They sure have been through a lot, but I think because of you, they are going to get 2002 started off on the right track.

I'll call again later today and report back.
