California Adventure is listed as open until 8:00 pm but World of Color starts at 8:30 pm. How late can DH get a beer at the Karl Strauss beer garden? What is the latest time they will let him enter California Adventure? I want to send him off for a beer after he helps put DS to bed but not sure if he can make it in time.

(He will not be watching WoC in case that's relevant.)

I'm not sure what time DCA stops selling alcohol, but If he just wants a beer, there are
many place's in downtown disney to have drink, or go to trader sams in the disneyland hotel complex.

What hotel are you staying at?

I'd just send him to DTD or another restaurant in the area if he wants a beer....or grab a 6 pack at a 7-11 and put it in the fridge in your room. :)

Oh yes! I totally second this!! Super fun Tiki Style bar. There is an outside patio to sit in, and even a huge outdoor fireplace and outdoor seats just steps away. You can sit out under the stars and have a beer or fun cocktail.
And they have yummy food too!:thumbsup2

The Grand California Hotel has the Hearth Stone lounge. You can get beer there also. its really nice and super mellow. :)

There always important questions, right?

We aren't sure where the OP is staying, there are hotels in the area that don't have restaurants or bars. :) But as someone said, the Hearthstone Lounge at the GCH is nice, you can even grab a drink and then go sit by the fire or in the lobby area and relax with it. :)

DCA stops selling alcohol 1 hour before closing...as I was told while totally bummed out when I went to buy my WOC wine.. :(

No offense but... you're going to DLR and you're worried about beer? I can understand dropping a few while there but to worry about it beforehand?

Sorry, don't get it. But then again I don't drink either.

Since she's thinking of sending him to DCA for a beer after putting DS to bed, I have to imagine she's staying onsite somewhere...

You sense "worry", I sense "planning".

One beer costs the same on property (and sometimes more) as a 6-pack at these tore...if your hotel has a fridge I'd try to get out to get beer to keep in the room, so he can enjoy it with you!

Ehh, no second thoughts from me! I just came back from Kaua'i and prior to my trip, I contacted the hotel for fun to ask if you were allowed to bring outside alcohol to the pool area (cheaper, and you were), if alcohol was allowed on the beach (it was not), and if you were allowed to physically drink your alcohol IN the pool (some places won't let you take cups into the pool but ours did). Those were high priority concerns for me hehe :)

Are you staying at Grand Californian? They wont let you bring it into the Hotel from the park in case that is what you were thinking.

I was able to buy a beer still right before the park closed but I doubt you can buy one if park is closed. I am not positive though.

I underdtand about Karl Strauss though because I am not even a beer drinker but I fell in love with their Red Trolley, and I don't know if you can get it at the lounge in the GC hotel I didnt see it anywhere else. Good luck!

Well of course, that's what we are all assuming based on her post. But they could be staying off-site and she wants to send him for a beer, considering some of the Harbor hotels are pretty close to the gates. :)
