Very exciting news (for me anyway!)

We just booked our very first trip to WDW!!!!!!! We're going May 12 for TEN whole days! Our original plan was to leave a day later and only go for 9 days so this is VERY exciting for me. Let's hope for some miraculous code to come out between now and then (free dining maybe? super duper room discount?) Oh, and P & PD for good weather and few refurbs during my trip!

Expect to be overwhelmed! The first time we went, we must have walked around for days with our jaws dropped to the ground! We were immediately hooked and had to keep going back to see everything....but, you can't! Stuff is new and changing all the time....you can't keep up unless, maybe, if you live there!

Have a blast and take lots of pictures!!

We're staying at the POP century. It was a debate between that and ASMov but with my luck i'd get stuck in the Herbie section (the only one I wouldn't really be excited with). I could get put in any decade and be happy! When i first called to make my booking I spoke to the absolute WORST CM ever. (in a slow droning, unenthusiastic voice) "Welcome toDdisney's happiest celebration on Earth...." When it took him 5 minutes to get my postal code right, I actually told him that I had to go and i'd call back! (A simple trick learned on the Dis) When I called back i talked to a really helpful CM who answered all the questions I could think of at the time.

We will be at WDW for my BF's bday, I'll have to come up with some kind of special dinner plans for that. But he eats anything, i could feed him at the McDonald's fry cart and he'd be happy!

We went to DL last year (my first visit, BF's 3rd). He said i was vibrating as I walked up to the gates. We took 1200 pictures over 9 days. Santa brought me a new memory card just for this upcoming trip! Hopefully 2 Gig is enough

Oh . I got all excited thinking you were coming here and was thinking "DIS Meet"!!. I actually hardly know anything about Houston - it's pretty far from Dallas. But I know of some great DISers there. I'm sure they could give you great advice on things to do and see . When you find out for sure if you are going to Houston, post a thread here on the Community Board about "What's there to do in Houston?" and I'm sure you'll get lots of help. Also, I'll give you the user names of a couple of DISers to ask.
