This is for those of you who laughed at me early last year, when I said I was planning what would be my only trip to the US. That trip has come and gone already. And, well, it looks like you were right to laugh.

I HAVE TALKED MY HUBBY INTO SAVING WITH ME FOR ANOTHER TRIP TO THE US!!!

We are not looking at going until probably 2014, my preference would be for around October, as I want to experience an American Halloween (at DLR!). This wouldn't just be a DLR trip (for those who have come along this year, I stayed at GCH for a week in January with my sister and daughter, before my daughter and I headed to Hawaii for a further week). My husband isn't interested in DLR, so I'd limit our time there to say 3 days, before going to Vegas, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and anywhere else he'd like to go. I'd also have to go to Texas I think, as I have a friend who lives there. And I'd love to get to Washington State also, as I'd love to see Mt St Helens. Not sure if I'm interested in the East coast at all.

Since I was on here last, we sold our house, paid off most of our debts, and are now renting. We have a lot more disposable income than before, so will be able to save a lot of money for this trip. (As opposed to putting it on the credit card like last time). It would be me, my hubby, my daughter (she's 9 now) and my youngest step-daughter (she's almost 13 now). My sister (Aust) and her family are looking at going back to DLR in about 3 years too, but are looking at Christmas in Canada also, so maybe we'd forego Halloween in Oct in order to travel the same time as them - I'd love to be at DLR with my nephew, who will be 5 by then.

Well, I just wanted to get this out there - we should have no problem making it happen! So Disneyland, here I come - AGAIN!

Yay! That's great news! DH doesn't want to go back to DLR any time soon - atleast not until we've got a few other destinations under our belt, so I'm planning on trying to head bakc there after all the DCA renovations are done. :goodvibes

It always gives you a warm feeling knowing that there is another Disney trip yet to come!

You're right, it does feel good, knowing there is a 99% probable trip somewhere in the distance :thumbsup2 While my DH isn't all that keen on DL, I know his daughter is, and my daughter will love showing her around, as well as all of us getting to rise Ariel, Carsland etc. So, while I say this trip isn't all about DL, it secretly is, for me LOL. It's just too far away!

Thats great news, I think we all need goals in life to keep us motivated otherwise each day, week, month year rolls into the next and before you know it, your kids have grown up.

But man, I dont think I could cope with planning that far ahead - I started planning this trip last July /August and I have been ready to go since March - I spend way too much time on the disboards, overplanning everything. :headache:

That is so exciting:banana::banana:

Keep chipping away at your husband. You just might turn him into a Disney fan too:cool1::cool1:

I'll say hello to the Grand Californian for you when I'm there in September.

Aside from being so very happy for you......:lmao: :rotfl2:

And congratulations on lasting all of 6 months before planning your "I'll be back".

Thanks for sharing your news too.

I told her she'd be back! ha ha ha. Now I just have to convince her to go the same time as us instead of Halloween.

Where's the like button when you need it.

Awesome, I always feel a bit lost without a trip to look forward to, and obsessively plan! :surfweb:

Woohoo!!! :cool1: That's wonderful news. So excited and happy for you.

:yay:Happy planning and saving that's great news.:yay:
I don't think any of us would agree that 1 trip is ever enough for Disney:rotfl:

Great news! Was just watching our home movie of our recent trip in March and makes me want to go back so much!! We had the best time.
