well after 5 years of owning dvc, I guess the odds came up that we would get a clunker of a room, and we did. Unfortunately we had lots of guests with us, so it was a big disappointment. Second floor, they are doing rehab, and the dust in the hallways aggravated 2 people in my parties allergies, one very badly. I myself could feel my throat burn at times after I walked by. We were honored with a second floor substandard view of the building they just demolished, a huge ugly tent and debris were directly out our balcony. It was awful. And then it seemed like nothing worked, doors wouldn't close properly, toilet overflowed 2x, then they never came back to clean up the flood after the 2nd time, I had to keep calling. I did try to get our room changed immediately after arriving but if anything,we would have had to switch resorts, and we had such an unbelievable amount of stuff with the 2 babies, plus we were looking in convenience of location. If I had known about peoples allergies being affected starting later that day, I might have considered changing. Once we were there, I never went to any parks cause I didn't want to be walking my 4 month old son down the halls they were rehabbing, they were redoing the ceilings, sanding and drywalling or whatever, all the ceilings were torn and the floors covered with plastic. Anyway, it was disappointing when we had such a large group with us, any standard view I have ever had has been more than acceptable in the past, but this was awful. My dh, says we've had such good luck in the past, this was inevitable. Otherwise we had a good trip, parks were unbelievably crowdwd, according to my family.
