Uggh. Now I am really thinking about letting go of this ADR. I'm not expecting the food to be great, but if the character interaction is not even good? Maybe we'll just hit the princess line hard at MK.....

Assuming we get the princess interaction elsewhere, would Garden Grill be a good sub for this ADR? Is the food better?

Yes Garden Grill would be a good alternative. We go every year, just for the food and atmosphere. The food is unpretentious American, served family style, but it is good. Ask to sit on the lower level -- you get your own private booth, and although the character interaction is about the same as at other character meals, it is like having your own private audience with them!
