Very confused about PINs...

I called in today to check on the military room rates since my ILs (retired military) might be coming with us on the trip we're beginning to plan. While talking to the CM I was told that I had a PIN associated with my name. I asked several times what it was for, but never really got a straight answer (she had a heavy accent and was very hard to understand). She quoted me a price with the military discount and then with my "PIN", but the PIN rate was exactly the same as the rate I'd gotten myeslf doing an online quote. I'm so confused because I didn't think PIN rates showed up on online quotes unless I entered a code myself. We went through several different scenarios with & without the inlaws, so I'm wondering if the PIN discount somehow didn't get applied and if maybe I should call back or not. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!!

Call back. If you really have a PIN, the quote should not come up the same as what you priced on the website. The website is NOT that smart to connect you to your PIN.

Definitely call back! My sister called today and was told that she had a pin. However, the CM was having trouble getting the system to accept it. At one point the quote it was giving him was $1000 more than the rack rate showing on the online reservation system!!! I've never heard of a negative PIN before!! :lmao: He apologized profusely and said again that the system was acting up and doing weird things. Finally he got it to work (it was for a room discount) but then it would only let him add tickets & not the dining plan. After an HOUR on the phone the CM finally got it all to work. It was worth the wait though. She ended up with $1800 off of the rack rate. Good luck! Oh, and call back asap. While he didn't give her a date, the CM had told my sister that she should book asap when she initially inquired about the pin. Someone else reported being told that their pin was only good until Dec. 31. Not saying that's the case with yours, but it would be crappy if you waited too long & missed out!

I called today to make our reservations and was told I had the one that expires tomorrow (which I already knew) AND another one. They said the second one was the better deal, but could not tell me what the pin was for, i.e. room only discount. They just said it was applied to the entire package. When I did the math, I think the room only was the better value over the MYSTERY pin code. I'm calling back tomorrow and I suggest you do the same...

I got exactly the same run around today when I called to check on pins. The CM confirmed the one I knew about which expires tomorrow but told me I had a another one that covered dates into early June. When I asked what it was for he told me he couldn't tell me and tried to transfer me to the GG line. I managed to stop him and explained that I wanted to book a separate package either the week before or the week after our existing reservation. That got his attention and he gave me dates but they stop short of when we need to travel. I never did find out what what the discount would have been but he gave me the code which I think was LV4. Once he realized I wasn't calling solely to modify my existing reservation he was very talkative and helpful. He strongly encouraged me to keep a weather eye over the next week or so in anticipation of gp offerings that will include the early part of June. It's so weird that it has to be so cloak and dagger with the pins.
