So, a little background...

Just my DH and myself are going to WDW for 3 nights during F&W to celebrate our anniversary. We rented points from a DVC member and are staying at AKL for one night and BCV for two nights.

Originally, I was going to get the QSDP so we could have 2 snacks to use toward the samples around the countries.

However, I recently learned about the Deluxe Dining plan. No clue why I didn't know about this before.

Anyway, since we are going without kids it would be nice to have a relaxing meal at some of the signature places that we wouldn't necessarily go to with the children. If we eat at 1 signature TS meal every night and used our snack credits for the food samples I am thinking we would still come out ahead with the DxDDP. It is $79 a night; correct?

Are Victoria & Alberts and Fulton's Crabhouse included? For some reason I have heard varying information on this.

Thank you so much for your help. Just when I think I have things all set a new scenario pops up.

V and A as well as Fulton's are not on this plan, only the premium and platnium plans not available with DVC stays.

If you are going to go to signature dining each night and have a CS or TS for lunch as well as use the snack credits for tastes at F&W then it may be a good option for you. The price is $78.99 so yes essentially $79 per person per night.

DxDP is $78.99/adult/night -- if there is a DVC discounted rate, I'm not personally aware of it.

It includes 3 meal credits and 2 snack credits per night, so your plan would basically work, noting that signature restaurants require 2 meal credits per person -- that leaves you with one meal credit per night, which can be used at TS or CS, at your discretion.

V&A and Fulton's are NOT available on the DxDP.

V&A is only available with the top-end plan (Platinum, I think); Fulton's is included with both of the all-inclusive plans. In any case, under those options, all meals are only one meal credit.

Ok just a thought but since you are staying at 2 places you already have a split stay booked so you could choose 2 different plans for each resort.

Example
Day 1 check in at AKL with QSD so you will get 2QS meals and 2 snacks (plus the mug). Now you will have to use all these credits by midnight on Day 2 (technically your check out date from AKL).
Day 2 you check in at BCV with Deluxe you will have 6TS credits and 4 snack credits (plus the mug again). And you will be able to start using these on the morning of Day 2 (your check in to BCV).

So you could do
Day 1
1QS
Day 2
1 QS
Signature Diner (2TS)
Day 3
1 TS
1 Signature (2TS)
Day 4
1 TS

and then throwing in snacks in between.

Even if you do deluxe for the entire trip I am not sure if all your meals are grouped together seeing as you are doing a split stay. You might need to use up the credits from the first night by midnight on day 2. (Hope someone with experience can confirm this)

That is correct. Each segment is a separate reservation and the credits are allocated and expire with each segment individually. What's more (and more confusing), for a multiple-night stay, DVC members can actually choose different dining plans for different "segments" within a single resort stay.

Back on topic, it would be possible, for example, to book DxDP for only the 2-night stay, which would give you 6 meal credits and 4 snack credits per person (plus a resort mug each) to use any time from the moment you check into the second resort until midnight following your check out.

That information is so very helpful! Thank you SO MUCH. Now, I think I have to decide if I want the DxDDP for the entire 3 nights or just two. We were thinking of booking a signature restaurant (or two) and just paying OOP for those with the TiW. We may just hold off on getting the TiW and upgrade QSDP to DxDP since the price difference is only $44 per person per night. The Signature meal will cost at least that I am thinking. Especially when you get the appetizer, meal, and dessert with the DxDP. Decisions...decisions....;) What a tough life I lead. :lmao:

No. Fulton's is included only on the Premium and Platinum Package Plans, and V&A only on the Platinum.
