My wife has agreed with DD to look at buying a large trampoline in the states fom somwhere like Wallmart.I told her that we would not be able to bring this back with us but she said some friends bought 2 bikes back in oversize luggage.Because she is the boss and I do what I am told does anyone Know what the score is please.

When we moved over here we brought a couple of large items with us and had no problem. However that was pre 9/11, so things have changed. If I were you I would talk with the airline that you are flying with and double check.

Good luck

we were able to bring back a pram, still in it's box, when I was pregnant with dd, and it was ok - but i would check because if you are over your weight limit, and the airline check in staff decide they want to, they can charge you a lot for excess luggage - plus there's customs duty to pay on an item over £145, and if it's a single item in an obvious box then it would be hard to deny all knowledge....
