Do you ever get a little worried when your DH/DW/SO is late?
I think this is normal. DH would flip if I were 15 minutes late. He was off work tonight at 9pm. I expected him home around 9:30ish. Well, it gets to be 10:30, no DH. I had called his cell phone about three times, no answer.
So, I call his work, just for the heck of it. He works in a store in the mall, which closes at nine, so I assume no one will answer. However, his manager answers. I ask to speak to DH, and he gives the phone to him.
Meanwhile, I hear all kinds of noise in the background, like he and all his coworkers (and then some) are there, having some kind of party or what not. He says they are having a meeting, and he will call me back later.
I told him not to bother. As he was very inconsiderate.
1. If you are going to be, now, over an hour late getting home from work, due to a meeting, isn't it appropriate, considerate, and thoughtful to tell your wife? You know, call so maybe I don't worry?
2. If its not an actual meeting (and I doubt it was, with all that noise) is there something wrong with saying, "I'm going to hang out with the guys for awhile?"
I'm so mad at him right now! I deserve a phone call!

My DH does this often to me.
So he gets tired and will fall asleep there. He will do his best to call, but in case he thinks he will forget, he calls me loooooooooooooong before to remind me where he'll be.
