Hi all. I am trying to help out someone who generously wants to take her extended family to the Disney area but would need something extremely, extremely affordable. Basically if she doesn't pay for the accomodations, her family won't be able to go. SO, any suggestions for very affordable for 8 people? Thanks so much!

oops! sorry. guess i should have included that info. she's looking at mid to end-June and is most interested in some sort of home with pool. they won't be able to go to disney every day so price is her number one priority; it doesn't have to be thisclose to disney. perhaps someone can recommend a clean, safe pool home development a little further out from disney if that makes it more affordable? as for price, she can probably do $80/night (i have no idea if that's doable or not!) thank you!

Do a search on skyaution. I think people have gotten 3 bedroom condos for around $250 /week.

I am paying for accomodations for 13 and went with skyauction. Two bedroom condos that sleep 8 for $261/week, or 37/night.

I'm leaning toward this one myself.

www.tropicalpalms.com

Both the 2drm and Studio say 4 adults / 4 children , not sure if that will fit your friend's need but I can tell you this, I've never seen a bad review of this place and it is very affordable. With the kitchen it would help on food costs!

Go to www.hotelkingdom.com

They have excellent rates for their 2 and 3 BR condos. You can book Tropical Palms through them and check out Cypress Pointe. I think their three bedroom condo is around $70 or $80 a night. It seems like an excellent value to me. It has a full kitchen and pools on site with waterslides and jacuzzis, mini-golf.

Thank you so much for all the excellent suggestions! I've forwarded the thread to her. I think she would still prefer a 4bd pool home since they won't be in the parks much but now she has lots of options to check. Thanks again.

Also check http://www.vrbo.com/vrbo/flcentral.htm

They list almost every development in the area. Anything in Kissimmee will be a reasonable distance. I just checked briefly and found at least one 4-bedroom pool home in Lindfields for $90/nite in June. I'm sure she can find more. $80/nite is probably a stretch for a 4-bedroom, but $90-$100 is definitely easily found.
