We do structural engineering, civil engineering, construction, and I do some designing of residential homes. My degree is in architectural drafting and design. I too have surveying drafting experience. I think the only thing I haven't done is mechanical...

Came in handy when I got fired in 2002 for getting pregnant. My husband and I had to go bankrupt! Didn't take long to find another job though.
I had lots of pixie dust!

It is good to be flexible. How could they fire you for becoming pregnant? Wasnt that illegal?

I heard my Dh mention all of those. DH at one time did ROW, not sure exactly now what he does now. I gave up trying to understand. He uses some title like Senior Designer.....I thought of fashion when he told me.......

As a side-note...drafting is my second career. I was a nurse previously. Quite the change...huh?

There were less than 15 employees. Mom & Pop buisiness law in FL. I went to a lawyer. She said it was discrimination....They said it was from lack of experience.. after a year of employment with them and 2 years drafting prior.....They hired a man to take my place the very net day.
