Vero to Disney! never done this before! help!

have any of you ever made the drive switching hotels from Vero to Disney? how long is that drive about?
are there any cool shops on the way?
and to get to disney do you drive on International Drive? ive heard that it can be busy, but it sounds really fun!
(i love tacky tourist shops!)

We did that trip a few years back......it was a easy drive no more than 2 hours....I dont recall much in the way of tourism shops once you were on the highway....from the highway to Vero Beach all I remember was orange groves.
You dont need to go on International drive.....We took the Osceola parkway to the turnpike south to Hwy 60 to Vero Beach.
