Vero Shutters Seafood Buffet

Looking for thoughts on the seafood buffet at Shutters in Vero.

We ate there on June 3, and we weren't that impressed. The fried shrimp was good and was the same kind you get at Mara or Columbia Harbor House. The other items like the crab legs and peel-and-eat shrimp were under a very, very hot heat lamp and were dried out. We probably won't go back because there are much, much better places to eat in the Vero Beach area.

I have some pictures that I will upload as soon as I can put them into Photobucket.

Okay, here are a few pictures that I took of food from the seafood buffet.

Crab legs, fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, and a roll (The crab legs were dried out and would not come out of the shell.):

Peel-and-eat shrimp (Notice how dry they are?):

A plain brownie, a cheesecake brownie, and a key lime bar:

The really, really hot heat lamp:

There were other selections on the buffet such as salad, slaw, green beans, red potatoes, corn, and pot roast. The dessert area also had cookies and mini-cupcakes.

That really looks very unappetizing.

It wasn't appetizing. We were expecting crab legs similar to what are served at Cape May even though the buffet was on a smaller scale. We were very disappointed!

That's exactly the info I needed. Thanks a bunch!!!

No problem! Like I said earlier, there are so many other similarly priced restaurants in the area that are so much better. I hated to see someone else waste their money there.
