Hi there! We are thinking about a quick trip to Vero Beach in November. What is the diference between a Inn room and a studio? is there something I should ask for? we have never been there, also what airport do people use? thanks for any help.

In size and layout no real difference at all. The Inn room is located in the INN building (like the hotel portion) AND you can choose an Ocean View Inn Room (OVIR) which will give you a direct view of the ocean. It is bliss. The studios are located in the smaller villa buildings and chances are slim that you will get a view that includes the ocean.

I have seen the airport question asked and answered a hundred times, but don't pay attention to the answer. From Orlando it is about a 2 hour drive to VB. I think you can also fly into Melbourne which is about 30 minutes away.

I've never stayed in a studio; however we've been three or four times and stayed in ocean-view inn rooms. They are our favorite. As our family has grown, we now get two connecting OVIR's. We know we'd be better off in a 2BR; but we really love being in the inn. We've never stayed in November, but have gone in mid-October and it is a wonderful time to be there!

We're going to spend Nov. 10 there in an ocean view inn room before heading over to WDW for two more nights at SSR. I've been to Vero Beach a few times many years ago as non-DVC owners and loved it. This will be my husband's first time going...I chose the inn room because I'd read there weren't many studios that had ocean views, and we both want to be able to sit on a balcony in the morning with our coffee and take in the full ocean splendor.

Do the Inn Rooms have the same amenities as a studio (fridge, microwave, etc.)? Are there rooms on the ground floor and if so, would you have an ocean view? And are there 1 bedrooms in the Inn portion?

Our points are at BWV, but we are thinking of a split stay next year.

Thanks!

The Inn Rooms have a kitchenette, same as the studios. However the Inn Rooms have 2 queen beds.

I do not think there are any rooms on the ground floor.

The Ocean View Inn Rooms (OVIRs) will have an ocean view. ;)
The Garden View Inn Rooms (GVIRs) will not.

There are no 1 bedroom villas, 2 bedroom villas or studios in the Inn, only Ocean view and Garden View Inn rooms.

HTH

Thanks for the info on the rooms. We have not even gone on this year's trip yet (BWV in October), but I am getting excited about planning a trip for next year that includes VB. :yay: :yay: Hopefully, we will not have a problem getting an OVIR at the 7 month window.

Thanks for the info is it woth it to go just for a 2 night stay with renting a car and driving?

Thanks again for any help.

Hmmm.... that's a hard one to answer. I would say if you can arrive there early on the first day then yes, but if you're not arriving until later in the afternoon, you're really only going to have 1 day to enjoy the beach.

All depends on what your objective is... If you are going to just check out the resort because you are thinking of buying there or staying there at a later date.. Two days may be worth it..

If you REALLY want to wind down, you probabily want to stay more time than that... I just got back after 5 days there and it was still not enough..

True... we've stayed 7 days and felt it wasn't enough.. We've steyed at VB maybe a dozen times, but the last day is always... the sad day.

Ha... I know exactly what you mean... We were heading over to Orlando after check-out, but we took our sweet time leaving... The kids stopped by to say good bye to their favorite CM's... Since we were checking out, the CM at E&F's gave our family a few free rounds of mini golf.. We walked up and down the beach quite a few times.. Filled up our mug at least 4 or 5 times.. And we just kept finding reasons not to get into the car and go..

We were legimately depressed that this part of the trip was ending that that we "had" to go to WDW.. (Even the DK's..) ;)

We were even questioning why we needed to go to WDW in the first place and wished there was a way we switch our 7 day ressie at BCV over to a Studio at VB..

It was just crazy.. I have come to the conclusion that we are VB addicts and need serious help...
