Vero Beach

Me too! We're thinking of adding 3 nights to our trip next fall. I'd love to hear what people think of it.

Haven't been recently because my first visit a few years ago just didn't thrill me so I probably will not go back to Vero. I am spoiled by NC/SC beaches that are only 2-3 hours drive time for me! I do love Hilton Head (but I realize it isn't necessarily far enough south to be warm in the off-season!)

We went to Vero in August (our 4th trip there) and it was great. The Hurricane damage is virtually gone.

Hotel is very nice, pool and beach are simply awesome! We will go back with the family many years to come, I guess that is why we bought a 400 point add-on. :cool1:

We were there following the DVC cruise in September and really enjoyed it. It's very relaxing.
It has a real old fashioned beach cottage feel. We were there at the end of Turtle season which was fun. It is isolated so you have to go off site a lot. But they do organise a lot of activities.

We'll definitely go again!

It was awesome. We got a great room, 1BR that had pretty good views. My DS 4 loved LOVED the activities and basically was doing something with the other kids there all day. The pool was very warm, the slide is awesome. They were replacing roofs on one of the buildings right by the pool & mini golf, but it appeared to be mostly done.

They are also in teh process of replacing the sand & dunes that were lost on the beach from the hurricanes, but, it is mostly done and I believe they expect to finish it by next month.

Any questions post or PM me.

We have stayed at Vero during the first week of July that last two years. We really enjoy it. It's pretty laid back. They do have several planned activities available for all different age groups. They have crafts for the kids, basic scuba lessons, evening campfire, etc. Some activities have an additional fee.

Has anyone been to VB lately and how did you like it?

We we were at VB from Sept. 30th - Oct. 7th. We loved evrything about the resort. We stayed in a beach cottage and it was incredible! :cool1: The Cm's at the resort really couldn't have been any better. The food was pretty good, waterslide great, beach great, everything. Really it is the best oceanfront resort in Florida IMO. What other oceanfront resort offers as much? Water slide, mini-golf, bike rentals, tennis, basketball, lake for fishing, coccer field, archery range, poolside dining, 2 sit down restaurants, friendly service, scheduled activities, etc. We will be adding on about 400 points there this fall. We plan to make VB an annual trip. There are those that find the area slow and quiet. It is but there is stil plenty of dining and shopping. We love to just veg at the beach and pool so it was perfect for us. We left the resort one night for dinner and to grocery shop, that is it. We just love the place. Go and enjoy.
