I am working my way through the Vero beach info and adoration thread and finding out great info!!! Thanks to all that have contributed!!! :worship:

But what I was wondering is how crowded does it get in late June, early July??? Is it hard to get a spot at the pool? On the beach???

TIA!

My understanding is that even when the resort is full, the beach and pool are never full or crowded. Someone who's been in june or july might have better info.

We only go during June and July, maybe 1 August trip, crowds on the beach have never been an issue. I like to take pictures throughout the day on the beach and show them to my friends that frequent tourist beaches. They are floored at the lack of people. Seriously, no issue. The pool is hit or miss, as my 2 teen boys will say "all the hot girls are at the pool" and so are their parents. LOL. The ocean is a bit rough at VB so you tend to find all the young families at the pool also. My suggestion is always head to the pool area early to get chairs. The pool area is almost always hopping.

Along the lines of what the witch said :goodvibes The beach is never full like you would find at a commercial beach. The pool can get pretty full and sometimes you won't be able to get a group of chairs or a table with umbrella, but if you arrive fairly early in the morning you shouldn't have many issues. Just don't be one of those people who reserve chairs by proxy of a towel(s) left there early and you arrive later. My pet peeve.

Have a great time. :beach:

The lounge chair saved by placing a towel on it used to be a huge issue at VB. I have not noticed it on our last 2 trips. I had heard alot of members complained and the lifeguards were watching this. That being said the world is full of rude poeple so if your group likes the pool head there early. Its a great little resort.

I have NO ISSUE taking towels off a group of chairs that are not being used.

Last year the family was at OKW when we went to the pool and there is a set of three chairs with a towel on each, the disney towels they give you no less. I walked over and set up camp, well about an hour and a half later here comes a very unpleasant women complaining that I took her chairs. I stated that there was no one here and that I have been there a while. She tells me that she had put down towels on the chair and that meant they were reserved. The life guard came over and told the lady that there is no such reserving of chairs and that she would have to look elsewhere to sit. This is by far my biggest pet peeve at all the disney resorts.

We were at Vero Beach right after the 4th of July last year and it was not crowded at all. The resort is smaller compared to resorts at WDW and we never had a problem getting chairs at the pool. The beach is never crowded!!

We were at Vero last June. During the week of June 13th, celebrated my Bday there. Anyway, this is one of the things we loved most about Vero. The pool and beach never seemed crowded at all. The chairs and tables around the pool were almost all taken, but the beach was NEVER crowded. We loved it.

We spent five nights there in mid-June last year. . If you want a small table with an umbrella near the pool you need to get there early to grab one. We usually go in May, and have never had issues then

Are there plenty of shady spots around the pool, like there are at the BWV main pool, or is it mostly covered in sun? And what kind of mini-golf is it? Is it themed at all or is it just like little mini-greens that are fairly plain? How many "holes" is it?

Thanks!

The mini golf course had a pirate/ocean theme. I don't remember how many holes. There were some chairs and tables shaded by a few trees, but in my opinion most were out in the sun.

The area over by the mini golf is shaded. Lots of palm trees and shrubs. There are lots of umbellas and tables as well. The mini golf is nine holes, they are not elaborate, but are very well kept and enjoyable.

There are plenty of shade spots back by the mini-golf area. There is nine holes, and it is a pirate theme. It is pretty tame, in other words, don't expect a big challenge. The kids love it. My son and I must have played five times a day, if not more.

I was at VB in early April when lots of folks were there for spring break. Chairs and tables were tight. My approach was to take my coffee (in a plastic cup) and grab the table I wanted at 8 or 8:30AM. I settled in, and read my book. I'd leave occasionally, leaving my things on the table, to refill my coffee. I was never gone more than 30 minutes (which I thought was reasonable). Since I am a morning person, I really enjoyed doing this.

My teens still love the little putt putt area. As others have mentioned it is 9 hole with a Peter Pan theme or thats we have laways considered it. For members $1 per game or $5 for LOS. They also have a free members day but I don't remember the day since we always just do the $5 for the LOS.
