We went last November and it was warm enough for the pool. It was rainy and cloudy our whole stay (3 days), but when it wasn't raining we managed to get in the pool (they have an awesome kids pool!) and they had tons of activities for kids in the pool area. The beach was pretty nasty from the storm so we didn't go on the water, but did walk on the beach once just to check it out. Tons of plant life was washed ashore so you couldn't really sit, but it was good enough. They also have a mini golf course and playground right next to the kiddie pool.
ETA: The only real problem we had, and not even so much a problem but an inconvenience, was that since it was off season there was only one restaurant open every night. Actually, I think weekends there's a 2nd restaurant open, but we arrived on a Sunday and didn't eat there that night (we didn't realize it was our only chance) so we were stuck eating the same food the whole trip. It was decent food, but still, more options would have been nice. We didn't really see any other places to eat when we drove in, plus the weather was bad, so we didn't venture out to see what other options were available.
