Hi there:
Planning our first visit to Vero following our Disney cruise. My dd is 11 and ds is 8, any recommendations on restaurants?? I looked at the restuarants listed and wonder if the one might be too fancy for the kids. I would be interested in restaurants off property as well. Local places that have been found to be good.
Thanks and HAVE A NICE DAY!!:)

On site, Shutters is very family-friendly, and Sonya's is more upscale. A few off-site that are usually popular are Ocean Grille (Vero Beach) and a couple in Sebastian, actually a little closer - Squid Lips and Captain Hiram's. Both kid friendly and good seafood. Hiram's has live entertainment. Ocean Grille is fancier as I remember. I'm sure others will post favorites as well.

I would also recommend Shutters... Very very family friendly.. They even host a character breakfast there once a week with Goofy & Max...

Sonya's, though a little more upscale, is still friendly to kids, if Mom and Dad want to eat something a little fancier... The staff there is great, and if worse comes to worse, the kids can order off the the Shutter's menu I believe..

Also try lunch at the Green Cabin room... Eat on the balcony.. You can't beat those burgers and fries with that ocean view...

Take the kids to Hale's Groves... You can't beat those Orange juice samples...
