Can anyone tell me a good location to request for a 2bdr?? We have 3 small children. Can you see the ocean from any of them?
We have stayed there once before, but it was an ocean view inn room. Thanks

hi there... you might want to ask for bld 14 because its close to the pool ,mini golf, campfire, etc. (we did but we didnt get it). you may want to ask for 2nd or third floor for some ambiance or a partial view (we did but we didnt get that either...we got ground floor, bld 15 farthest from everything, and parking lot view). we also got in at 11 pm which may have sealed our fate even though we made these 7 months out with requests in place. it worked out ok... it just wasnt great or breathtaking on the porch... just kind of dark and a bit depressing, and sort of colored our impression of the resort just a bit after a magical stay at boardwalk the week before. hope you have better luck and enjoy yourself as we did no matter what :) !

We always request building 15. The resort is very small and everything is in very close proximity especially after staying at Disney. We find building 15 a little more quite. We have had a nice ocean view 2 out of 4 trips. The other 2 trips we had a 1st floor room with an extra big patio. Therea re very few 2 bedrooms with great views of the ocean and everyone wants one so be prepared to not get one that way theres no dissappointment.

Thanks all for your info. We are arriving after Thanksgiving, so hopefully not so busy and maybe a good chance of an upper floor.
I didn't make any requests with exception of non smoking when I made the ressie. I don't know if I should call and add requests or just wait and see. We are staying on cash the first night, then points for remainder. We are staying at BCV for 1 night, then thought we'd spend day at the pool and head to vero around supper time. Perhaps we should head over earlier and increase our chances of a better view?

A few things I noticed about check in at Vero.

The CM's had all of the parking passes and room keys printed out and waiting behind the counter when we were there on Monday. Rooms were already assigned.

If you are going to request something, I would put it on your reservation.

I requested a specific room at check in and she had to reprint keys, etc. with the different rooom number on them.

Also, a few people checking in were being put in Villa 12 ( I don't know where that is) and they were told that some of the other buildings were still being worked on.

I beliieve they are planning on having everything done by Nov. 20. Right now they are just working out all the bugs.

Have fun.:D

Thanks for the great info. We really want to be close to the pool in April. Are there any 1BR units in the main building?

Does anyone have a map of VB with the building numbers marked?

Building 12 is the one north of the Inn - the property isn't all that large, but it is a walk to get to the pool. I think I read on the board that the Inn building only has studios and regular rooms -- no one or two bedroom villas.

Building 14 is definitely the closest for villas near the pool - right outside your door. We prefer 12 or 15 because it's a little quieter, but we don't have little ones.

If you want a chance for an ocean view, be sure to request top floor. Hope you have a great trip..

Thanks for the awesome input, I called Vero directly with my requests, as we check in, in just 2 weeks. I requested upper floor, I didn't request a particular building. We are travelling with my inlaws, celebrating my FIL 60th, a surprise for him!! With the extra hands, it doesn't matter to us whether we are close to the pool. If we were travelling ourselves with three children, being close to the pool makes things much easier.

We are so excited. We are staying at BCV for one night in a studio, without extended family, and then head to Vero for 6 nights in 2bdr. Our 5 and 7 year olds will likely want to spend the day at Stormalong, as we have not ever been there. We will do Magic Kingdom if the weather isn't great. I do hope we get a great room at Vero, but any room will still be fun. (My children don't even know that Grandma and Grandpa are joining us!!) They are going to be very surprised to see them at the airport!!
Now, it's just getting my FIL there without him figuring it out!!

It depends if you are in a dedicated 2BR or lockoff. All the dedicated 2BR units are to the west of the units which makes an ocean view more difficult.
