The family and I spent three nights at Vero Beach resort this week and had a great time! The place is wonderful and we will definitely be back. The first night we were there (Monday) it rained a bit but was over at about 5 and we went to the beach. The beach was very clean and not too crowded like Daytona etc. My boys enjoyed it - they went "surfing". My wife had a picked a couple of cheap boogie-boards from Walmart and the boys thought they were surfing; they got the idea from a Spongebob episode. The next day we went back to the beach and then the pool. The pool was great and I love that huge slide. I noticed people would get there early in the A.M. and leave their stuff at a table and leave, so get a spot early is what I learned.
Oh, our room was fantastic! It was 2407, it overlooked the pool and had an ocean view. By the end of the first day I was looking for a vacum due to the small shells but I couldn't find one. And speaking of shells, Vero beach is a great place for shell collecting and I mean collecting them in areas you don't want to be collecting them.:sad2: We ate at the snack bar by the pool the first two nights. It was pretty good for stand food. On the second day we went and walked over to the nature trail across the street and did more pool beach stuff. Wednesday we drove down the road looking for some shops and found that Vero isn't a good place for cheesy tourist shops. Which isn't a bad thing.
The last evening there we went to the sing along camp fire and had a good time. The two girls running the event were great and very Disney.:) The sandfleas I believe will be on the decline since their food source is gone. Oh, their food source is ME! I am covered with bite marks. No worries, they just have good taste.;) Oh on the last night we ate at Shutters. I had the steak and DW had blackened Mahi. The steak was good but my wife's fish was really good. Like I said we had a great time and Vero was a hit for us for sure. Plus, it's only two hours away which was just far enough to feel out of town for a bit. While I was there I saw three seaturtles on shark and one rabbit. The rabbit was by the pool in the mornings.
Here's some pics.

Thanks for the report. Your pictures are beautiful. We will be visiting VB in October for the first time and are really looking forward to it now!

Great Vero Beach photos. Vero is a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Many members schedule some time at Vero after spending time at a WDW DVC resort as a vacation from their vacation.
