Vero Beach - Studio or Inn room?

We're thinking about squeezing one more vacation in this year. We usually stay in a 1 bedroom at VB, but don't have the points to do that and a cash reservation isn't available for a 1 br - although cash reservations are available for 2 bedroom villas, studios and inn rooms.

So, we're thinking about staying in either a studio or inn room for 6 nights - which would you choose and why?

We stayed in an oceanview room in the inn rather than book a studio because I wanted the ocean view! I understand that not all studios will have an ocean view. You have the same studio amenities (microwave, toaster, fridge, etc.) so for us it was an easy decision. We sat out on the deck so much we did not miss the sofa.

We have one booked for Aug, and were wondering if we had a chance for an ocean view

"Ocean view" is a booking category only for inn rooms. Some of the studios will have a partial view -- the higher the floor, the better the chance. The beach cottages are really the only villas that have a true ocean view.

Ocean view really doesn't matter to us. Just wondering if folks find one room more comfortable than the other (inn or studio)

When I do a solo trip to Vero, I prefer an Inn Room because I feel more secure with the interior corridors and knowing that there are cast members in the building 24/7. With the villa buildings being more separated and having exterior entrances, it can get a little dark and creepy if I end up getting back to the resort later in the evening, like after seeing Orange Avenue or another great band performing at Hiram's (though sadly, no good bands are scheduled to play there during my upcoming visit).

If I travel with friends, I also prefer an Inn Room because of the bedding. Much as I love my friends, I really don't want to be sharing a bed with any of them so the Inn Rooms work better since they have 2 queen beds.

If in a relationship and traveling with just my spouse/partner, then I'd probably go with a studio since I wouldn't need a 2nd bed and I think the studios seem a little more private.

I have always stayed in the Inn rooms & loved them. You are close to the pool & beach access plus if its rainy or cold you don't have to go outside to get to the main building for dining or the spa. Make sure you check out the Pina Colada pancakes at Shutters.

The Inn rooms have 2 queen beds (except for a select few), the studios have a King bed and a sleeper sofa. I have many times wished all the inn rooms had the King and sofa. Some place more comfortable to sit than a hard table chair.

Studios have a queen bed & double sleeper sofa at VB.

We had a studio a few years ago, because DH wanted a sofa to sit on when watching TV. After having one, he agreed that we shouldn't give up the ocean view for a sofa to watch TV. Now there ARE studios with views of the ocean, I'm sure, but we didn't get one.
