We will be staying at Vero Beach, June 2016 and was wondering if anyone here on the boards have any take on whether we should try Sonya’s for a nice dinner or eat in town instead. I searched Sonya's on the boards and no results showed up, I would like some kind of review on the food and whether we should try them out or not. Thanks.

I would also like a review on Sonya's "Dining Event: A Taste of Disney", if anyone has done this event. Thanks.

We will be there in two weeks so if no one else chimes in I will try to remember to let you know. We did enjoy eating a shutters during our brief stay a couple years ago.

Captain Hiram's is a "must do" for us every trip...and we've brought many family members there over the years. Squid Lips was fun, but we've had mixed experiences at the one in Sebastian and Melbourne. We had a nice dinner at Sonya's one year for our anniversary but, frankly, I don't remember too much about it...it was just not that remarkable. However, if you happen to be in Vero on a Sunday morning, the brunch buffet is excellent...and if you play your cards right, you might get seated in Sonya's for that (but you could end up in Shutter's, too). We like both Shutter's and Sonya's dining rooms, so I wouldn't complain if we ended up in either one. We did find the staff at both to be VERY pleasant and friendly!
