I am a new owner at ssr as of last week. I had plans for a trip to vero anytime this summer for 7 nights, but there are no rooms in June, July, or Aug for 7 nights. Am I going to have a hard time getting a room at vero in the summer time? Do most people get a room if they call 7 months a head of time? Also the resort web site has rooms for those months for rent?
Thanks, James

What type of room are you trying to book? Also, remember you can always waitlist for the room.

Usually, VB is pretty easy to get, but with all the new (non-beach) resorts coming on board, VB and HHI are much harder to get.
Still, we booked at the 7 month mark and have a OVIR and a 2 bdrm for late June. We did this at the 7 month mark DBD.

I think your problem is wanting 7 days (nights)... try for something shorter.

Good Luck..

I just got a week at Vero over Labor Day week in a one bedroom. I found it on the II website, and traded in a week at another one bedroom in Orlando. If you have other timeshares, you might try trading thru II for Vero . They had several studios available in August, although I got the only one bedroom listed on the site.:goodvibes

I booked a studio OV for a couple of nights in mid-August. I booked them at about 7 months. Did you waitlist for them? My waitlist just came through for my BWV for 11 nights this summer. You might give it a try!:goodvibes

We booked our 2 bedroom at Vero around 11-10 months out this year. I find availability becomes scarcer as time passes, except for studios which tend to be the last category booked up there.

:yay: To increase your odds of getting a reservation at Vero Beach in a 2 BR villa, should we go for a shorter trip in the summer? Also, is it possible to go there without a car? Thank you. I am new to all this

I don't think you can get to Vero without a car, since it's a good 2 hours away from Orlando. Maybe someone here on this site has more info than I do.:confused3

Unless you want to spend the entire time at the resort, you'll really need a car for VB (even if you find a reasonable way to get there). The resort really isn't close to anything else.
