Looking for a few answers if possible. Thought I might have some luck here.

Looking to rent points at Vero Beach next Feb the week of the 11th. How far out do you need to book 7 months or 11?

Is the pool usually closed for refurbishment this time off year?

Any extra insight to Vero would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Have you stayed there before? Not much going on, I often wonder how they keep the place open.

My guess is 7 months is sufficient time. What sort of villa? We own there, and I do want OVIR in January, and I do book 11 months out, but I think you will be OK at 7 months.

I only remember the hot tub was being refurbished one January. It is not always conducive for me to swim weatherwise.

Never stayed before. My wife would like a break from the parks next year. She is looking for a little more relaxing pace. I think my 5 and 7 year old might get bored after a few nights.

Defiantly relaxing at VB. We take a break by not going into the parks at WDW.

Looking for a studio or a one bedroom to rent. Thanks for the insight. Any other info is greatly appreciated

There are excellent Cast Member programs on site, bike trails in area, The Environmental Learning Center has boat rides and nature programs and is very close, in Port St Lucie there’s a place likely to have manatees.

Thanks for the info. Definitely going to look into this, I think the kids would love it.

DH & I visit VB the first full week of May each year. We love it there. Quiet & relaxing! We always get an ocean inn room. DH has some mobility issues so we don't do the beach but it is beautiful to look at. We park at the pool each day. We rent bikes at least once during the week and take them out for a spin. The also have goofy golf and lots of things for the kiddos to do.

May not be pertinent to February, but we booked an OVIR for December at 60 days out (had points in holding). We enjoyed walking the beach; wished we had brought our swim suits because the weather was warm and the pool looked like fun!!

We love Vero. No it is not the most on the go, action filled vacation. It is incredibly laid back and relaxing. The resort and grounds are beautiful. The CMs are fantastic. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby to get off property for a little while. There are onsite activities as well. Nothing like getting up early in the morning (spraying yourself down with some kind of bug spray to ward off the noseeums) and than taking a walk along the beach to watch the sunrise. Follow that up with a nice relaxing breakfast and it is the perfect start to your day.

Both of these taken in early January, a year apart at Vero. We almost always go there right after our NYE WDW stay!

A great place to spend a few days to unwind and relax. There is enough to do at the resort or nearby. For February I think you'll be fine at the 7 month mark, especially if you are flexible about your options.

Not sure when Presidents week end will be for February, but that is something to consider. We usually go the week before Ores. Day weekend and it is quiet. This year we arrived Pres. Day Feb 19 and it was busy all week. Tables at the pool were gone by 11 in the morning. Someone told us New York State schools are closed that week
