vero beach question...

My wife and I will be staying at the Vero Beach resort in August. We're thinking about flying into Miami and then renting a car and driving up to Vero Beach. Does anyone have any comments about the drive from Miami to Vero Beach? How long is the drive, best directions, ect. It looks like its only around 140 miles which shouldnt be too bad. Hopefully its only a 2 hour drive or a little over 2 hours. Any comments would be appreciated! Thanks

I'm not sure how long the drive will be. When looking on driving directions from yahoo maps it seems to be about 3 hours. Why not fly into Melbourne or Orlando. I know Vero is about a 1.5-2 hour drive from WDW. We've do that drive before.

BTW, you will love Vero! We will be there soon. I would post this question on the DVC board. My friends over there are experts on all things DVC and should have a better answer for you!

I went into West Palm Beach one year and drove up it's a straignt drive up I 95 took about the same time as if i was driving from Orlando. The air and car rental was cheaper. If I got a good deal into Mimai I would do it.
