I was just wondering and appreciate any and all help with this. We just purchased OKW and love the idea of being able to go and stay at Vero. I understand that I would have to wait for the 7 month mark to make my ressies, my question is what is the busy time at Vero? We are wondering if it would be next to impossible to get an Ocean View Inn room for a week in Oct/Nov at the 7 month mark? I figure the summer is the most difficult to get ressies for without the home resort advantage.

TIA

Oct/Nov is not the high season, and I would think at the 7 month mark you'd likely have little problem getting an OVIR.

Make sure you check this out (especially the FAQ's etc in the first post)

Edited to add; I think that Mid Oct to mid Nov is a great time to visit. Days are warm, bugs are low, nights are comfortable.

The busy time at VB is generally later summer when the turtles are nesting.. Also holidays like Easter and Christmas..

While we do own at VB, we oftentimes don't end up booking until the 6 months before, and have never had a problem getting a 1BR, 2BR, or Inn Room.

IMO, about the only time you need the 11 month booking window is either for the holidays or if you want a Beach Cottage.

All that being said, as DVC keeps adding more and more WDW / DL onsite resorts, I think the offsite resorts like VB and HHI will get harder and harder to book.
