Vero Beach question

I have never been to Vero Beach, so I need some help. I own at BWV but am looking at going to Vero for a few days in August 2011. Will I have a hard time getting a reservation at the 7 month window?

I've had trouble booking an OVIR at 6+ months, and had to settle for Garden view for one June trip. If you call right at 7 months, I think you'll be OK. I'm assuming you don't want a BC! What sort of villa do you want?

I am not even that familiar with Vero yet, but I would guess a 1 bedroom. That is what we get at BWV. But I guess even a smaller room would work if it had to.

I've only experience booking inn rooms and Beach Cottages, so I can't help with availablility at VB for 1 bedrooms. The "thing" about Ocean View Inn rooms is that mostly they have wonderful views, and the 1-2 bedrooms could be looking at the parking lot. So, unless you really want the kitchen, I would book two OVIR if I were you and if they are available. There even are internal connecting OVIR, but I don't think you can actually reserve them. We had them once when we were at VB with DCuz's family.

We've been to Vero the past 2 Augusts and both times reserved exactly at the 7mo mark and got OVIR no problem both times. Can't comment on the availability of the other rooms. Last year we reserved 2 rooms at the same time and they were connecting. I would highly recommend the OVIR. The views are awesome and if you are only there for a few days (like us) not having a full kitchen is OK. Good luck and have fun.
