Vero Beach Owners

Have any of the Vero Beach owners ever had a problem getting a reservation at the 7 month mark at any of the WDW resorts? If so which ones? And if so were you able to get into a different resort on site? I am purchasing a small Vero contract that I will use at Vero but may want to use onsite from time to time.

The answer to your question depends on what time of the year you'd like to visit WDW.

You most likely will not have a problem in January, the 1st two weeks of February, May, or September.

You will almost certainly have a problem if you want to visit during the two weeks that surround Easter or anytime in December.

Other times (if not associated with a national holiday) are usually possible if you are flexible with your choice of resort, room type and dates and are willing to use the waitlist. Many here report success in using the waitlist, but I suspect those of us who have not had success do not post as much as those who do, LOL.

P.S. I do not own at VB. However, at the 7 month mark, a point is a point is a point. It doesn't matter whcih resort you own - everyone has an equal chance at remaining availability. As you no doubt know, at 7 months, it's "first come, first served" at all the DVC resorts.

With SSR coming on line, there will be two large resorts with lots of capacity - I think you will be generally ok at 7mos out except for busy times especially if you are flexible as CarolMN noted in your resort choice

You may have to book day to day to be safe and be prepared to resort hop or waitlist as well

We booked at the 7 month window for our upcoming trip to BCV and didn't have a problem at all. Good luck.

We own at Vero and have already used our points three times in the last year to book at WDW resorts. We got the BWV in October during Food & Wine Festival (wanted BCV, but that was sold out; didn't try wait list); VWL in January during Marathon weekend; and finally VWL Memorial Day weekend (this was done at the four month mark!). So, we definitely haven't had any problems, but are pretty flexible with timing and only book studios.

We own at Vero and have NEVER not gotten what we wanted when booking at the World during our 7 month window

We have owned at VB since 98. Although we use most of our VB points at Vero, we have booked OKW, BCV, VWL and HH within the seven month window in the last six years. Only once were we unable to get our request inside the seven month window when we were unable to get into HH during the summer months. Of course we don't try to get into WDW DVC resorts during peak seasons within the seven month booking window. For that, we have a separate OKW contract.
